A new Spider-Man game isn’t surprising at all, but finding out what Beenox learnt from Shattered Dimensions and how they plan to apply this knowledge to the next game sounds interesting.

  • Spiderman and Transformers are perhaps the leading properties for good games based on comics (if we ignore the DC Universe and Marvel Ultimate Alliances, speaking of which, why is there no 3 or 4 yet?).

Spiderman is my favorite though, mainly because, teenage Peter Parker is just so cool!

spider-man games are so-so. i’m still waiting on one that’s “complete” in a sense. web of shadows was pretty good until i made it crash by swinging so fast. i just want a complete city and characters. the story of peter parker and how he became spider-man, the struggles, villains introduced without being too “out of this world”, and a living breathing new york city. wait a min. that’s too difficult…

Haven’t played a good Spider-Man game since the Super Nintendo. I’m always looking forward to the next and always end up disappointed. I hope it’s not the same this time.

      maximum carnage?

        The Japanese one

I don’t think so. It was a beat em up where you could co-op with spider-man and venom. Unless that is maximum carnage.

        • That could be either Separation Anxiety or Maximum Carnage. Both those were great, but I loved the PS1 Spider-Man game, too. Spider-Man 3 on DS (the movie game) was fun as well. :)
