Type-Moon Announce Summer Wonder Festival Plans

By Ishaan . March 27, 2011 . 2:31pm

Following news that Mahou Tsukai no Yoru has been delayed to “sometime” in 2011, Type-Moon have revealed that we might hear something of it at the summer Wonder Festival 2011 in July.

Type-Moon say that the following series will be present at the summer Wonder Festival in some form or the other:

  • Tsukihime and the Melty Blood series
  • Fate/stay Night and Fate/hollow Ataraxia
  • Fate/Zero and Fate/Unlimited Codes
  • Mahou Tsukai no Yoru

Type-Moon mention “Saber Lily” in connection with Fate/Unlimited Codes, which is a 9,800 yen figure based on a costume created for Saber in the PlayStation 2 version of the game. Two versions of this figure were released in 2009 by ALTER and Good Smile Company, but a new version (created by Gift) will be available in June.

We assume the listing means that Saber Lily will also be available at the summer Wonder Festival. Here are a couple comparison images, but you can see more of the new version at Akiba Hobby and the link above.

Note: Something to keep in mind — Wonder Festival is an event primarily centred around figurines, models and garage kits, so more than likely, T-M are referring to the presence of merchandise from each of these series.

  • That new Saber Lily is trying too hard… I mean that face, wut lol?

    • That’s real type figurines(there are more of them than you might think), I actually like them even though I prefer the original ones like ALTER and GSC, but all works are great piece of art nonetheless.

    • Gift’s Saber are always like that. The older Gift Saber had 2 exchangable faces, 1 realistic and 1 anime style. I understand why you are surprised at this figure :D

      • I decided to use the anime style face because the realistic sort of bothered me every time I look at it .

        • I know that feeling… Gift could’ve done better though, like Daiki Kougyou did. That Saber’s awesome, but the price is suicidal.

  • I so can not wait to hear some news about Tsukihime/Melty Blood and Mahou Tsukai no Yoru, don’t disappoint me Type-Moon! :P

  • I wouldnt mind another Fate/Unlimited Codes, feel like one of the only 3 people in the world who own it, lol.

    • You’re not. Trust me.

    • tr1gun1212

I own it as well, though I do not like it too much.

Maybe a Tsukihime 2 or remake and maybe a Melty Blood HD… Excited.

  • OMG more Fate! -nerdgasm-

  • Errr…. i prefer 100 times more the old saber lily O-o

  • RablaAndrews

    Needs more Fate/Extra

    This news is slightly off…

Type-Moon just announced on their site that the amatuer figure creators don’t need to apply for a copyright request for their figures during Summer Wonder Festival, because Wonder Festival closed their acceptance of issuing copyright approvals due to the difficulty in the communication line because of the earthquake.

It certainly doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing Type-Moon figures though! :)

    • That’s why I included the “some form or the other,” hahaha. It wasn’t entirely clear what they were talking about, but since Wonder Festival is mainly for figures and whatnot, it leans more in that direction. I’ll update the post mentioning that though.

  • PrinceHeir

i like the older one :D

    • As do I sir. The older Saber Lily is more sexier and sincere.

  • Zero_Destiny

I like it. Though I prefer the regular Sabre look. Than again I also do dig the look in Fate/Extra. Nice and Red. :)

  • Reitsumi

The new Saber Lily looks ugly
