Strania Explodes Onto Xbox Live This Week, Here’s A Trailer

By Ishaan . March 28, 2011 . 4:35pm

Japanese developer, G.Rev, have created a 1980s style mecha shooter, Seisou Kouki Strania, for Xbox Live Arcade. In Strania, your mech can hold three weapons, one in each hand and a reserve item. Depending on how you hold your weapons, combos will vary. For example, equipping a sword and gun means your mecha might slash, then shoot.

Simply titled Strania for its overseas release, the game also has cooperative online multiplayer. G.Rev are releasing Strania on March 30th on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), and released a new trailer for the upcoming launch.

  • I’ll definitely check this out.

  • >Simply titled Strania for its overseas release
Wait, so it is being released on the US Marketplace?

Should have watched the trailer first instead of just reading the article.
This looks ALOT like Wartech: Senko no Ronde, another awesome game.

Gonna have to prioritize buying this.

    • Code

rar, I love Senko no Ronde TwT~! But rar, so proud of G.Rev doing a global launch for Strania, I know how I’m spending my Wednesday now owo~!

    • Yep in fact I’ve been playing the English version. It’s not like Senko no Ronde though, it’s a vertical shooter with weapon switching.

      • Yea. All the same it looks to be fun.
And that “Who the hell do you think I am!?” pose at 1:45 looks awesome as ever.

  • Awesome look like i know what to spend microsoft points on :)

  • Kris

Man, the music, the visuals, and the bullet patterns seem great. I’m loving everything about this game so far! I can’t wait!

  • F to the YES!!

    This and Bullet Soul!!!!

  • looks amazing, day 1 for this and the DLC

ya’lls better do the same because this one NEEDS to sell monster numbers, would definitely open up the door for Border Down and Under Defeat for XBLA

  • not really a big shooter guy, but this is pretty impressive

  • mikanko

    Awesome soundtrack is awesome.

  • It’s totally unfair to G.Rev that this is getting launched the same week as one of the biggest XBL sales. Could easily get lost in the crowd and people only have so many MS points so how is anyone gonna afford this when they’re blowing their entire load on cheap stuff?

Strania and the like deserves to do extremely well but with the model MS is using it’s just sent to die.
