This Xbox Live Shoot-em-up Is Controlled Using A Microphone

Developed by Incredible Ape, PewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPew (that’s 9 Pews), is a yet another shoot-em-up on Xbox Live Arcade…only, this one’s controlled using a microphone.

While Incredible Ape recommend using a Rock Band microphone with the game, any old microphone that works with the Xbox 360 will do the trick as well, including headsets. You can grab the game off the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points ($3) or try out a demo.

  • that seems like an interesting idea, though it might be a bit tiring after a while.

      Play Lifeline.

You’ll see how tiring it gets…

      • Kris

Oh god, I’ve tried for years to forget Lifeline and you just brought it screaming back to me…

Point to MS. Taking KB’s “pew-pew” jibe and turning it into a game.

    • Testsubject909

No point to MS. Point goes to Incredible Ape.

Never give credit to the wrong person. You remove power from the creative minds and strengthen the wrong people.

      • godmars

        Point to you.

Still people talk MS instead of the guy who made the Dishwasher, just like XBLIA is getting some of the credit for allowing something like this title from coming about.

  • Apache_Chief

Reminds me of the AVGN reviewing the Konami LaserScope. Put the headset on and yell “fire” a bunch at the screen. Looks like it could be really fun though.

  • Code

Very tempted, saw this game in motion and it looked great >wO>

  • huh the shapes kinda remind of a certain company’ game controller

  • This is sounds waaay too adorable. I wish my pews sounded like that.

  • Subsenix

Do this for 30 mins and you never want to do it again.
Its annoying as hell after 5 mins doing it just for imagination reasons.
