Are Capcom About To Reveal Dragon’s Dogma?

Capcom have a new teaser site up for something titled “DD.” If you can’t think of a connection, don’t worry — it’s probably for a new game.

 

Back in August 2010, when we found the original trademark for Asura’s Wrath (being developed by CyberConnect2), we also found another one alongside it for a game named Dragon’s Dogma, which Capcom hasn’t said anything about to date.

 

We should be learning more about the game very soon; the website is counting down to an announcement on April 13th Japan time.

      You’ll get my hopes up. I refuse to believe.

      • It’s not about getting hopes up. There is most definitely the outline of a dragon like creature that isn’t along the lines of any properties but BoF displayed in the background. Monster Hunter, maybe. That dragon looks to be more unrealistic in proportion to the MH ones.

        I’d like to believe in a great new BoF title, but I doubt anybody at Capcom has any ties to the originals. Even if it were a new BoF, we don’t know what the current Capcom will do with it.

          Yeah, it’s humanoid-bipedal, they don’t really make those’s in Monster Hunter opo; If you ask me looks like a Breath of Fire dragon more then anything else I can think of from Capcom, butt judging from the profile and it don’t strike me as Tatsuya Yoshikawa omo; So cautious optimism ahoy~!

      Dreath of Dire!! I SEE, I SEE THE LIGHT!!. And the number 2 will be important in the game, 2 main characters maybe, or 2 stories or 2 roads to take, KILL ALL THE WINGED PEOPLE AND YOUR TRADITIONAL WINGED FEMALE ROMANTIC INTEREST, OR LIVE TO BECOME A PROUD DRAGON??!

        No it is you who lack imagination. Dreath of Dire is all wrong. You messed up your D-ratio. You got to go back to the drawing board. All you made is nothing more than a really strong toothpaste meant for people with bad breath. I mean Dragon Breath maybe but it’s certainly not a breath of Fire. Breath of Fire VI Deadly Destiny is the game I’ve been waiting years for. Besides you’re wrong because they already have boxart for it. lol

Dreath of Dire needs to re-evaluate itself and fix it’s crummy D-ratio. 1/8192 is that all it’s good for. It will never defeat my Deadly Destiny’s D-Ratio of 1/4. Muwahahahahhahahahahahah

            @Garyuu Why all the hate for Breath of Fire V? It’s different but as long as your willing to be open it’s really fun. I think it’s my 2nd or 3rd fav Breath of Fire. I get wanting a classic style RPG and I love the first four being like that but I can’t deny how fresh and different V was. It was good. I was at first skeptical of it and it took some getting use to but in the end I fell in love with it.

            In case anyone’s curious (though I doubt they are lol) My fav will always be II, I’m just not sure what my 2nd fav will be though. Ether IV or V. It’s a hard choice to pick between them for me.

            I also think it had great direction in the victuals and the art. The music was good and definitely had own unique feel to it when compared to the other Breath of Fire but in the end I think I enjoyed it as much as I did most of the Breath of Fire OST’s.

          • I “was” willing to be open, but the experience felt pretty tarnished. BoF V was different, but back when I first started playing it, BoFV wasn’t the “different is better” kind of game. Your dragon form is overpowered to begin with and you have to use it as sparingly as possible. The whole “start the game all over” mechanic after wasting your D Ratio totally ruined the fun.

            I even had the nerve to watch through a playthrough and the ending didn’t seem as inspiring as other BoF’s closures.

            @Garyuu, hhmm I see. Well I thought that was a cool aspect made the game more challenging. At least you gave it a fair shot. ;) Sorry you didn’t like it. But I dig it. Had some real fun. I also like the plot. It too was different and felt more “epic” than the prior ones. Well I suppose every series has it’s black sheep, and I’m just the weirdo who ended up liking said sheep. Oh well. For what it was worth I think Breath of Fire V was a good game. ^_^ I guess opinions will vary.

          • I never really got into Dragon Quarter, I hated having to restart constantly and it felt like I was never getting anywhere, I also hated being forced to speedrun through the game thanks to that timer.

            @WildArms Boring. Ha every minute with her is nothing but the most entertaining minute of my life. lol Personally I pick her first, then Sae Nakata, and then Ai Nanasaki. Yup that’s my hierarchy of women for you. Ehehehehehehehe

            No I like Haruka but I don’t know. She’s hawt that for sure and older too (nice) but I just didn’t like her arc all that much I guess. If it’s any consolation she’s number 4. Close, almost made it but Near the end of Nanasaki’s arc I had to bump her down. It was a fierce battle and I think I died a little bit inside but this, this was all I could do. *panting* never again, will I choose between women. Will just go for harem instead. ^_^

  • Please be a JRPG, there haven’t been many this console generation (except on the handhelds, they’ve done fine there).
