Kagura: Portrait of Girls May Have Ninjas, But Takes Place In Modern-Day

Recommended Videos

The online version of Famitsu’s Kagura: Portrait of Girls preview is up, and contrary to what you may have imagined, the game takes place in a modern-day setting, despite the abundance of female ninjas.

In a previous report, we detailed Kagura: Portrait of Girls’ five playable characters. Each of these girls have different abilities, and the game plays out like a side-scrolling action title, with double jumps and air-combos.

Kagura isn’t all about fighting though. You’ll also get to see the girls’ lives at their school, Hanzo Academy, and play through the game’s detailed story. Famitsu also have screenshots of some of the costume destruction aspect of the game, which you can check out on their site along with images of the characters.

Marvelous have Kagura: Portrait of Girls scheduled for release on the Nintendo 3DS this summer.
