Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive Breaking Out On GREE Mobile Platform

By Ishaan . April 18, 2011 . 7:56am

There are a lot of Resident Evil games in development at Capcom. The latest to join the zombie brigade is Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive, for the GREE mobile platform in Japan. This game is slated for release in June, around the same time as Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

Similar to the original Resident Evil: Outbreak, you’ll play as civilians trapped in a zombie-infested Raccoon City. You’ll have to work with friends and share healing items and assemble teams of rescued survivors to get through difficult missions. Capcom are calling Outbreak Survive a “social survival horror game,” which is an interesting idea.

Similar to a lot of other social games, when Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive releases, it will be free-to-play, but you’ll be charged for in-game items.

Capcom. I hate you. Why can’t you release Resident Evil Outbreak 1 and 2 Complete or something on the PSP? You keep releasing the same games over and over. Atleast release something I’ll enjoy. Also please don’t screw us a second time with 10-20 second load times. Aside from RE2, Outbreak is my favorite Resident Evil series. Don’t drive it anymore into the ground than you already had just because you don’t think people will buy it(and you’re probably right.)

If Outbreak goes to the 3DS I’ll buy the system. A single game as good as this will make my decision. As long as it has short load times and atleast has local wifi online. Though it’d be nice with infrastructure.

Because then they’d go the cheap route and do Ad-Hoc only instead of infrasturcture. PS3, PSN, NGP or 3DS or iPhone I say
