Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Ver. 2.5 isn’t the only Vocaloid game Sega are talking about today; they’ve also released screenshots for Dreamy Theater 2nd, which will let you play Project Diva 2nd on your TV with high-res visuals through your PlayStation 3.

Sega haven’t announced how much Dream Theater 2nd will cost yet, but it’ll be available for download this summer. When it releases, it’ll be compatible with the downloadable modules and songs for Project Diva 2nd. Hori are creating an expensive arcade controller for the game.

to be expeccted, but does it have all the special push like the arcade version?
and is it compatible with Project DIVA 2.5?
    thats my only concern lol

    • As you’ve probably guessed, they’ve kept mum about Project Diva Ver. 2.5 compatibility so far, hahaha.

    HD is best.

Hopefully the DLC wouldn’t be more than 3000 yen…

    Megurine FTW!

why can’t sega just make this stand alone game with psp compatibility?

less effort and also a marketing strategy tie in for people to want to have both a PSP & PS3. And because they know there are more active PSP players in Japan (with the game).

  • i really dont like the look of the graphics. they look like their made of clay. they should have really done cel shaded graphics or something along those lines

Akira Toriyama, author of Dragon Ball, even once said “if you’re going to do Anime graphics, the best method to use is cel shading”.
This was when he was partially working in tangent with Super DBZ for PS2/Arcade.

      • yea i feel cel shaded is perfect for it. this game can really look beautiful but it comes off as weird looking and unsightly to me. games that ive seen that have captured the anime feel amazing r tales of graces and vesperia. i really hope they come out with a good legit console vocaloid. hopefully without this weird dream theater crap

        • You haven’t seen the thousands of videos of people using that dream theater program along with the vocaloids, have you? This game isn’t very different from them when it comes to graphics or execution, so in a sense, what’s good for Vocaloid (and fans) is good for Project Diva.

    Just wondering…
Can you buy it on a US PS3 with a ISO?

    • MizuMikomi

All you need to play it is a save file from the second game, so yes you can.

    Hipster Miku.
She was into Vocaloid… back when it was called LOLA.
