Chris And Claire Team Up For Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D Commercials

Capcom have started to air TV commercials for Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D in Japan. Here’s a look:

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D has a feature new to the series — the ability to move and shoot at the same time. Holding down the L and R buttons on the 3DS takes you into first-person mode (you can see this at the start of the video) and you can move while firing. However, you can’t aim; your gun is locked in place while moving.

Capcom will release The Mercenaries 3D in June. Japan gets the game on June 2nd, and the U.S. a few weeks later on June 28th. We don’t have a concrete release date for Europe yet; Nintendo will be handling distribution of the game in that territory.

What’s up with Nintendo handling distribution in Europe?

It makes sense with games like Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest, and maybe even Dead or Alive, because they don’t have much brand power in the territory… but Resident Evil really shouldn’t need it.

PS. will the game have unlockable costumes too?

    •  :O! I didn’t even think about costumes until now! It would be so awesome if the original stars uniform and her clubbin’ nemesis outfit were available for Jill.

I’m especially a sucker for Claire’s original biker outfit.

    • They’ve been doing it with Capcom’s stuff for a while now. SFIV was distributed by them, too.

        That’s really weird. I can’t see a reason.

Leon Kennedy please. Make it happen. Use your influence.

  • claire and criss together yeah baby!

I can’t wait for this game!…It’s gonna be my “waiting in line” game for Comic-Con 2011
