Someone Is Reviving Carmageddon

Weeks before E3, the Carmageddon website has been updated with a countdown timer, counting down to June 1st. A new game appears to be on the way, but for what system, and who will publish it?


The original Carmageddon was developed by a company named SCi, whom Eidos would eventually take over. Eidos, of course, are now part of Square Enix.

  • Most of Carmageddon’s sucess, back then, was mainly due to the fact that the game was highly polemic and nasty. Times have changed, and nowadays we have much nastier, gross games out there. I wonder what the series will have going on for itself this time around, to actually stand out from the crowd, out of sheer nostalgia.

      That’s a good point. I remember it mostly for the controversy, but I don’t remember how the gameplay was. They’re making a new Twisted Metal too, right? I was big on these vehicular combat games for a while lol
