One Of Sony’s Unannounced NGP Titles Is Magnatron

By Ishaan . May 25, 2011 . 2:02pm

Magnatron is a game that either is or was in development for the PlayStation 3 at one point, with Sony Computer Entertainment set to publish it. Virtually no information on the title is available other than the screenshots available for it.

An artist resumé on LinkedIn, however, indicates that developer, Playerthree Ltd., are — or were at some point — working on an NGP version of the game:

Sony have yet to release any information on Magnatron for either the PlayStation 3 or the NGP. The game has not officially been announced for the latter system.

Food for thought:

Oddly, all screenshots we’ve found online for Magnatron are 480×272 px in their dimensions. That’s the exact resolution of PSP games. Perhaps Magnatron was going to be a Minis title for both PlayStation 3 and PSP?

    Reminds me of Marble Madness.
Oh but there is another “rolling” NGP game isn’t there?  That one looked more interesting especially with that back-touch control.

    Little Deviants.

Pinch and touch action plays a much larger role in that game.

This magnaton type of title would be ideal for motion control.
