Another Glitch Character Becomes Reality With Mortal Kombat’s Skarlet DLC

By Ishaan . May 31, 2011 . 9:38am

In addition to the “Klassic Skins” DLC, NetherRealm Studios also have downloadable characters coming to Mortal Kombat. The first of these is Skarlet, a red female ninja:

Interestingly, Skarlet has a history similar to Ermac, the red male ninja variant. While both Ermac and Scarlet — as she was dubbed at the time — were thought to be new characters in Mortal Kombat II, they were actually the result of colour glitches involving Scorpion and Kitana.

what happened to kenshi? I thought they were coming out the same time?

  • Isn’t Skarlet a scarlet female ninja?

They should have named her Hermac.

And still no word on new MvC3 characters… D:

They should’ve kept B.B. Hood in. I’m a little surprised the roster isn’t bigger for 3.

Capcom dropped the ball, big time on MVC3. If you had asked me six months ago, which game I thought I’d be playing more, Mortal Kombat or MVC3, I would’ve said MVC3, but after playing both, I haven’t touched MVC3 in months, while I play MK on an almost daily basis.

oh more dlc character… oh well at least its not a Super mortal kombat version. and about mvc3 everything seems weird

  • Now they only have the rich tradition of 800 more characters to slowly release so that everyone can be in this game.

  • Can they add “Rain” as well?

  • Vladimir’s sister?

  • *insert inevitable menstruation joke here*

I’d much prefer Kenshi or Rain someone from Deadly Alliance, but she seems like a decent fighter.

      Kenshi is next.
