At Sony’s 2011 E3 media briefing, Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games, announced that a new Bioshock game is in development for Sony’s upcoming PlayStation Vita platform.

Levine didn’t provide any further details on the project, however, or when the game will be released.

Following the announcement, Sony announced that all PlayStation 3 copies of Bioshock: Infinite will include the first Bioshock on the same Blu-ray disc.

Update: System name updated to PlayStation Vita.

I wonder if the version of Bioshock 1 on the Blu-ray will be the same as the previous port of Bioshock 1 (with the mandatory install and texture bugs) or a new version. The idealist in me hopes it’s improved!

  • Now I can get into the Bioshock series!

  • WHAT!? That is so awesome! :D

There was also talk of incorporation of the Move in Bioshock Infinite.

Incredible considering the bashing the makers gave.

With the PSV’s second analog stick, a FPS like Bioshock should actually be playable. Looking forward to seeing this.

  • Now this is worth the system space.  Totally not #bloatware.
