The Latest Armored Core V Trailer Loads Up And Rolls Out

By Ishaan . June 6, 2011 . 9:24am

Namco Bandai and From Software have released an trailer for Armored Core V just ahead of E3. Here’s a look:

Armored Core V has virtual territory wars. As long as your console is connected to the Internet, you’ll carry out lengthy team battles to fight over territory, and defend it once it’s under your control. Some of these missions can take up to an hour to complete, but if you log on in the middle of a battle your teammates are already participating in, you’ll be able to chat with them while you wait for it to end.

There are also over 70 simpler missions for players that don’t have the patience for drawn out online battles. The online mode of the game will also spill over into the game’s single player mode. Even if all players of a team go offline, the battle will continue in singleplayer mode.

From Software have included over 500 parts to customize your mechs with in Armored Core  V. You can view concept art for some of these here. Namco Bandai will release Armored Core V on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 20th in Japan, and early 2012 in the U.S.

Hello Fromsoftware, I’m just a simple fan of your works. I’d be very happy if you ever decide to make a CG armored Core film. Your CG work has been highly impressive. Oh…your games have been well done over the years.

damn sexy :D multiplayer sounds awesome! hope we get more modes

  • zhemos

Looks like a trailer for a new terminator movie or something.
I like how Namdai is promoting all these new games, and awesome trailers, while us Tales fans just get a tentative release date for Tales of Graces F and are ignored.

Which is odd because Armored Core never sells good in the US because it’s a niche series for only the fans of the series.  The Tales games sell better yet they’re not promoting those games very well over here.

      Your tears make Bamco stronger.

  • Dem amazing CG scenes.

  • blah blah

It looks like a Michael Bay movie.
    Lots of explosions~

  • mikanko

Piloting a fearsome mech online with a group of people has never looked so appealing as it does in this game.

  • Code

rar, very sharp CG, I bet Kojima will want to make MGS5 now >w<' It makes me feel all warm inside to see FromSoftware kind of find it's paces this generation.

  • badmoogle

Armored Core always had the best CG intros out of any game, but because the game itself is underrated here in the west most people don’t even know about them.Youtube the previous games and see for yourself.

  • Armored Cores, customize and Roll Out!

  • capristrider

WOW, very impressive trailer! If ACV potential is delivered then I can guarantee Namco Bandai that they have got 3 purchases from me! The other purchases being for Ace Combat and Dark Souls :)

  • godmars

If only there was cross play between the PS3 and 360 we could fight this console war in earnest.

    And with mechs!

  • wat_wat

From Software always does the best CG movies. Imagine a full length CG Armored Core film from them. I’d cum rivers.

  • FromSoftware completely owns this generation with things like Demon’s Souls and 3D Dot Game Heroes so I’m stocked to see what they did with armored core this time arround. :) I have high hopes!
