Wipeout 2048 Trailer Teases Augmented Reality Features

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe just shot out a trailer for Wipeout 2048 for the PSVita. If you’re just getting caught up, 2048 has 10 new tracks, 20 new crafts, and is cross-compatible with Wipeout HD Fury on the PlayStation 3 for multiplayer games. It also has augmented reality features, which you can see hints of in the trailer:

See the part where it takes a snap of your face? That’s the “glory moment” feature, where the PSVita will take a picture at the end of the race, so the winner can gloat. Wipeout 2048 doesn’t have a release date yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
