Nintendo Excavate Super Fossil Fighters To Fatten The Nintendo DS Line-up

Yes, there’s still another new Nintendo DS game to talk about. Remember Fossil Fighters? Red Entertainment and Nintendo collaborated to develop the Pokémon-like game and released it overseas in 2009. After that, Japan got Super Fossil Fighters, and this game is now headed out of Japan, too.

Like its predecessor, Super Fossil Fighters has you excavating and cleaning fossils, and reviving them into Vivosaurs to do battle. New to Super are Giant Fossil Rocks (which contain complete dinosaur fossils) and Odd Fossil Rocks (which are two-sided). The better you clean these fossils, the more powerful your Vivosaurs will be.

Battles in Super Fossil Fighters consist of teams of three. You’ll have to rotate the positions of your Vivosaurs to make sure you’re using them effectively in battle. New “Super Evolver” Vivosaurs evolve into new forms with the help of golden fossils.

You can compete in matchmaking battles in Super Fossil Fighters, too, and download new events and Vivosaurs off Nintendo Wi-Fi. Nintendo have the game slated for release this holiday. That’s a lot of releases for the DS in the second half of the year!

  • Looks cool but I want another Dino king game

    • You’d rather have more rock-paper-scissors in a DS cart than a in-depth mons game? Kay.

Since you’re going out like that bring over:

    Death Note Kira Game
    Great Thief Rousseau
    Project Hacker Kakusei
    Draglade 2
    Soma Bringer
    Deltora’s Quest
    Chou Soujuu Mecha MG

    • theworldofnoboundries

Well just admit it. They won’t bring those title here as it seems some of those title  is also not so famous in Japan.(except draglade 2 as why do they publish draglade 1 but not 2!???)

the reason for Draglade 2 not coming is because when Namco merged with Bandai, they also totally took over Banpresto, which works under Bandai (the co developer of the game besides DIMPS), thus not giving Atlus a chance or say anymore in publishing to the U.S. (they published the 1st game). So in order for Draglade 2 to come, it would have to be published by BandaiNamco directly and they are stringent with exporting titles (see Tales and other Anime type games not called DBZ/Naruto)

It’s a stupid and stingy marketing move by Namco

Well we hope that with the changing strategy market in Bamco could change their perspective about releasing some of those game outside of their “Takeshi Castle” lol.

  • joesz

Shit, after looking at the deformed Charizard,I’ve realized that this  was different game.

  • I need to really play fossil fighters. Its like a new age Monster Rancher. Except only with Dinosaurs. Speaking of which Tecmo where is a new MH game? Seriously.
