Natsume released a few screenshots of Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny at E3. They still haven’t announced a release date for the game, but it’s slated for this year.

so its Rune Factory Tides of Destiny not Rune factory Ocean huh  i can’t wait for this game

  • That’s a giant enemy crab, isn’t it.

    • epy

You have to flip him over and hit his weak point for massive damage.

    • raikage

  • #GIANTENEMYCRAB confirmed! >:3  yeah, I wonder what will be the plushy, if any.

  • Samken

I hope at least the PS3 version has dual audio, but i already know the chances are pretty low.

    • Ladius

I don’t think they will include the Japanese dub, but at least I hope its English dub isn’t as horrible as Rune Factory 2’s was. People hate Arc Rise Fantasia for its dub, but RF2’s was a good match for Chaos Wars’ in some instances.

    • epy

I am hoping for the same but there being a Wii version makes it hard as they’ll probably go with that damn “we wanted to have both versions have the exact content” excuse…if someone even cares to ask of course.

      • kroufonz

xenoblade european release have dual voice so it is still possible i think

        • It’s possible for sure. Size limit excuses are mostly weightless.

Wii can read dual layer discs, and the only dual audio game that came close reaching the size limit was Samurai Warrios 3. And that game had tons of spoken dialogue and movies. But are they willing to pay for dual layer and both dubs?

    • kroufonz

i don’t know about the chance, but i believe they will include japanese voice:P

they could even go with agarest/yakuza way going japan vo only to make the game released in the west faster (or save a lot of budget), since this game released quite fast for a niche publisher (at the same year with japanese release).

      There’s a first for everything :)

But I really, REALLY hope they will include dual audio for the PS3.
I simply can’t play JRPGs if they’re not in Japanese audio.

  •  Woo! Can’t Wait for this Agricultural/Marine/Romantic/Action packed experience!!

  • A crab called “Scissor Fortress”… It would be genuinely threatening if not for the cartoon eyes. There’s still the difficulty to consider though.

The game’s looking good visually. I’d like to see how smooth it runs on PS3.

  • BelmontHeir

This looks so gorgeous! I have to get it, even if I’m a little burnt out on farming and dungeon crawling after playing RF3 so much.

  • Wake

This was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. I was a bit down because of the lack of mention of The Last Story but this really put a smile on my face.

  • puchinri

Some of those screens are familiar, but it’s nice to have more. I’m excited for the game all over again. (Do we know how late into the story we have to wait until we can just play as Sonia though?)

  • Draparde

This game will become apart of my collection!!

  • Im so happeh!, i want the ps3 ver. like now! AHHH! and i hope it doesnt lag on battles when there are tons of monsters

  • XypherCode

    screens look very promising! :D

  • badmoogle

I would like to know if the camera is controllable by the player or if it has pre-set point of views…I hope it’s controllable.

  • Barrit

Duel-sword aerial combos here I come!

  • HarryHodd

The screens look really good. Can’t wait for a release date.

  • AzureNova

Even though I haven’t kept up with the Rune Factory series this one looks really good, and I’ll probably be giving it a try.

  • I just saw some E3 gameplay. Man! Have you seen this guy fight with a pitchfork?!
