Earlier this year, Namco Bandai obtained the rights to publish Power Rangers games. At the time, they said they were interested specifically in the Power Rangers Samurai show, but didn’t announce what kinds of games or platforms they were looking into.

Now we know what they had in mind. Namco are publishing a Power Rangers Samurai title for the Wii and Nintendo DS. Both games look like brawlers, and are slated for release this holiday.

  • Is this that same game that is coming out in Japan?

    •  No. Japan is Getting Super Sentai Battle Cross. It features Gokaiger, Shinkenger,Goseiger,Go-Onger, and GoRanger teams. It has Dynasty Warriors like gameplay.

THAT’s the one I want. This one pales in comparison

  • RagnaXBL

easily the best game announced at E3 with the best trailer, cannot wait, Day 1!

  • So we get some beat-em-ups?

I may get the DS one if it’s as good as the old GBC and GBA games, those were surprisingly fun.

  • I may get the DS one if it’s as good as the GBC and GBA games.

Also, the graphics remind me of the DS Harvest Moons. Perhaps Natsume or Marvelous are behind these games?

  • Might give these a try.

Both look a low budget so far though. A shame they aren’t reusing that that fabulous Family Ski & Snowboard engine which can also work for brawling and shooting games, as shown by the latest Go Vacation! media. Speaking of Go Vacation, will you cover that one as well? Looks like fun.

    • Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought Go Vacation wasn’t half bad. Looks like there is a lot to do.

  • This is a joke right?

  • looks fun.

  • Johnny Yong Bosch for Black Ranger.

  • LynxAmali

    >_> Er….When was the last decent PR game?
Dino Thunder? Ninja Storm and Wild Force for the GBA? Time Force for N64?

Just as long as it doesn’t play like that Super Legends crap.

  • I watched and loved Shinkenger, so I might check this out when it is really cheap! :)

Let’s combineeeee!! and fight for freedom from region locking!

This doesn’t look too bad for a “popular” title.
