Starting Today, Europeans Can Watch Kirby Anime On Their Wii

Recommended Videos

A new Kirby TV Channel is available on the Wii, starting today in Europe, Nintendo have revealed. It will be a free download and will feature TV shows starring Kirby over a period of six months. During these six months, two episodes will be streamed each week, amounting to “over 50 episodes” in total.

New episodes will air on Mondays and Thursdays — one on each day — and will be available for viewing for up two weeks before being archived to make way for new ones. Once an episode is archived, it won’t available for viewing unless you happen to have a “key” for it.

At the end of a Kirby episode, you might receive a key. If you do, you can look in the episode timetable for an older episode to unlock and watch for a period of 24 hours. Episode 1, however, will remain permanently unlocked.

In case you’re wondering, the TV show in question is the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! anime that aired in 2001, but that series had 100 episodes, which is far more than “over 50”. You can watch a trailer for the Kirby TV Channel above, courtesy of YouTube user, Nintendaan.
