A Trailer And A Stack Of Concept Art For Solatorobo: Red the Hunter

By Ishaan . June 27, 2011 . 11:05am

Last week, Xseed officially announced that they’re handling publishing duties for Solatorobo: Red the Hunter in the U.S. Earlier in the year, Nintendo announced they would be publishing the game in Europe, and Xseed’s localization will be based on their release when it hits the U.S this fall.

Nintendo of Europe have launched their full website for the CyberConnect2-developed Tail Concerto successor, with a bunch of info, trailers, music and concept art. If you’re having a hard time waiting, you might want to take a look.

Following is the concept art that’s currently on their website, illustrated by Nobuteru Yuki, who was character designer on Chrono Cross and Tail Concerto. Mecha designs for Solatorobo were provided by Yoshitake Taniguchi.

Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is slated for European release on July 1st. North America will see the game sometime this fall. Solatorobo is a DSi-enhanced game, so you’ll have access to additional features if you play it on a Nintendo DSi or 3DS.

Food for thought:

Never in the past few years did I expect to see anything like that last illustration associated with Nintendo in any manner. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw it.

    I really like the concept art its got an old school vibe to it.

    • Code

      Yeah it really does; it was the first thing that caught my attention about it; they don’t make games like this now a days omo;

        yeah there needs to be a resurgence

    I can’t wait for September (I think Xseed said September or whatever) for this game to come out. ^_^ It looks so fun. Glad I can snag a USA copy that makes me so much more happier. The art is great. It really gives me a Breath of Fire vibe with all the Demi-Humans but a little more modern and kinda moe-fied. Still I think that’s not a bad thing at all. :D Looking forward to it and loving what I have seen of it already. Can’t wait to play it.

    rar, the artwork is just gorgeousness owo’ I can’t wait to pick it up! You know what this suddenly makes me want though, A new Misadventures of Tron Bonne game omo! But seriously though the game just looks great as a whole; I never heard much feedback as to how well it did in Europe and Japan though.

    Ummm. Is he talking about the party picture? I don’t see anything wrong with it. Am I missing something?

    I dunno if it’s the new found Xseed fanboy in me, but this looks very cool. I would like to get a DSi or a 3DS and try this out. I have a old DS Lite which works fine, but I’d like the bigger screen.. Or just the excuse to get a 3DS.

    Anyways, hopefully this sells well, for Xseed! Love those guys. :)

    Note that since the game is dsi enhanced it is region locked on DSi, DSi XL and 3DS.
