Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 Takes Off From The Launch Bay Today

 

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 is out today in the U.S. As a reminder, Namco released yet another colorful batch of screenshots for the game. New additions include mobile suits from Gundam 00, Gundam UC and After War Gundam X to name a few. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 has over 50 playable characters and more than 70 mobile suits, if you’re interested in big numbers.

 

The visuals across all the series in Gundam 3 are cel-shaded to give the game more of an anime feel. Here’s a comparison with Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 so you can tell the difference between the previous games and this one.

    my gosh i’m so hot for this game…but this time, sadly, i had to choose preordering Da Capo 2 (at hendane) over DW:G3… Loran and Sophie ojou-sama are just going to have to wait a few months for me i guess…

    Game came out yesterday, though… picked it up myself.  Really enjoying it so far though, it’s my first Dynasty Warriors Gundam game but it’s fun as hell.

    im a little disappointed about the original music being out. going to import it instead. gundam unicorn’s theme is too awesome.

      Do the Asian-region games usually have an English option? I was thinking not in this case since the Japanese version came out like 6 months ahead of the others.

        some do. the newest virtual on did. the asian version is compatible with american 360s and goes for a fair price as well on play asia

      Do you have a 360? If so, you could always use the custom soundtrack option.
      That’s what I’m doing.
      Also; no Scott McNeil as Garrod.
      We get Axl’s VA from Megaman X7/8.
      Not to mention Zero’s VA as Knight Gundam (Don’t quote me on this.) We just needed Master Asia’s and Mark Gatha to have a complete Megaman X team.

    So question for anyone owning the English version…does the English version have Japanese voices this time? Did they remove anything important?

    I considered importing before, but now it is out..I may want to get it here instead.

      Ive heard people were upset about BGM missing in the NA version. I can’t confirm it though.

          I think there was never any licensed themes in the English version of Gundam Musou. I had Gundam Musou 2 and DW:Gundam 2, and I was pretty bummed when I was greeted by the normal rock-ish song DW usually has, rather than instrumental pieces of Gundam themes. That’s just the way it is, I guess.

            I think the BGM in DW:G3 is pretty good/memorable though. Though had to turn it down since it would drown out the character voices.

    Picked it up the first day and am quite pleased so far.
    A little disappointed that 00 gets so much attention, but I suppose that’s to be expected… Of all the things I don’t like… I simply wish Schwarz actually had his Gundam Spiegel.
    ( Also, as with most Koei Tecmo games, the online lag is pretty severe. Lest it’s just my personal experience. )

    Is it bad that I kind of want this just because of the cell-shaded robots? I’m not a huge fan of Gundam or Dynasty Warriors per se, but it looks pretty beautiful…

      Unless you can stand the Musou series, don’t come near it I guess… However, if it’s your first Musou game, I think that you’ll find quite a lot of enjoyment before you put it down.
