It’s a good day for rhythm game news! Our last (so far) bit of rhythm news for today is a few new screenshots Rhythm Heaven on the Wii in Japan. Nintendo will be publishing the game on July 21st for 5,800 yen.

Here’s a few screenshots of some of the games we haven’t seen yet:

A 2-player karate game.

A see-saw game.

A sorting mini-game with sweets.

Nintendo of America will be publishing Rhythm Heaven in the U.S., but the game doesn’t have a release date yet. You can read our hands-on impressions of the game from E3 last month, and see screenshots of some of the other mini-games.

Like the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS Rhythm Heavens before it, this one’s being developed in collaboration with Mitsuo Terada (or “Tsunku”), best known for his work as the producer for Japanese group Morning Musume. You can watch a trailer for it here.

  • Reminded me of that Jojo rhythm video I saw with the characters looking like the first screenshot enacting the story.

  • Might give the series a second chance due to it using buttons. Might make the difficulty less harsh for me.

  • Chow

Glad to see so many returning characters in this game.

  • I LOVED the DS version of this game!! As long as it comes out in the UK, it’s a definite buy for me… just loved the quirkiness of it, and I kinda love rhythm games in general :’)
