Square Enix RPG Gleipnora Enrolls At Mobage Service

By Ishaan . July 7, 2011 . 10:23am

Square Enix released a new RPG on DeNA’s Mobage service today, titled Gleipnora. Based in a magic school named Valheriar, Gleipnora is another free-to-play social game, and is about a magic letter called “Gleipnora” sent from ancient times.

You’ll go about solving mysteries around the school, customizing your characters (you can change their appearance with equipment), interacting with teachers and other students, and doing battle with monsters. Like most Mobage titles, Gleipnora has you pay for buying certain items in the game.

A high school RPG was released in Japan? It must be Thursday.

    • LOL your comment sure made me laugh eheh nice! Oh well, it does seem interesting, but it’s a shame we’ll never get to play it :/

What’s sad is it’ll probably get more attention than Nier did. le Shrug.

        • Ohhh, Nier. Loved that game. Also, been currently playing Drakengard — just “one ending remains.”

Man, that fourth ending was cray-cray. Oh, sure, I kept hearing how disturbing it would be, but I certainly didn’t expect… THAT. Wow, you went there, game.

Nier was brilliant, yeah. As for Drakengard, it’s one of those games I adore for just amping up the What The Christ. Normally I think of absurd things that can happen at any thurn, and that title just managed to stay with me on every step of the journey. Hell, sometimes far ahead.

    oh so it’s a cell phone game…:P

  • I really like the character designs on this game. Too bad it’s not a PS3 online game.  Looks-wise, it reminds me of my beloved Mana Khemia…*sigh*

  • The art-style is certainly refreshing after all the photo-realism SE has been using.

  • I tend to notice that most of the games I would like to play from Square always end up on a phone service exclusive to Japan. . .

I would trade the horrible experience that was FFXIII, for a chance to at least try Final Fantasy Legends o 3o

That dragon-like monster looks like a pseudo wyvern from monster hunter.

    Just sayin’.
