The full version of Half-Minute Hero Second is slated for August 4th. Between Super Mega Neo Climax on Xbox Live Arcade and this sequel, the series has come a rather long way from what started as a Flash game. Even Marvelous staff thought the original Half-Minute Hero was simply a “one-hit wonder”.

To help dispel that idea, producer, Kenichiro Takaki, figured the best way to develop a sequel would be to reinforce its JRPG style story, focus on the Hero 30 mode, and add new features instead of increasing the number of stages. Takaki also has plans to expand the series further.
