A Shaky Cam Video Shows Keiji Inafune In Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2

By Ishaan . July 12, 2011 . 10:25am

Fans of Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 are probably aware by now that Keiji Inafune of ex-Capcom fame is in the game as a summon in battles. We’ve posted screenshots of this before, but here’s a camera video giving you a quick look at the summon:

Inafune will make his grand debut as a summon when Neptunia Mk-2 releases on August 18th in Japan. Perhaps we’ll see him in Monster Hunter next?

  • Nice! Very well improved! I am a huge fan of the 1st game and I really can’t wait for this. NIS, you have my support <3

  • they seemed to have finally fixed that frame rate issue

  • O_O Iffy and Gear-chan?! Did NOT see that one coming. At all.

Anyway, despite the shakiness, It looks really good. To be able to move around in battle is always a good thing. :3 Can’t wait for this to get localized!

    • EusisLandale

Truth be told, I kinda saw it coming. Iffy was already the biggest chick magnet in the game, so it’d make sense for her to attract a few more with the sequel.

      • But i didnt expect her to be the one attacking…

        • EusisLandale

Well, when you’ve already got 1/3 of the original cast interested in you why bother staying passive and waiting around for the rest to join in?
Silly RED thought she was making a harem. She was joining one.

      • You mean with Red and 5pb, then yeah you’re right. XD

I’m awaiting more yuri action XD. I demand it!!

  • Hope it’s not crap like the first one

  • Guest

Would rather have a Segata Sanshiro summon….

    • EusisLandale

Maybe there’ll be one. Or maybe there would just be no way to do him justice without rendering the game just too easy.

  • Keiji Inafune loathes against Japanese games yet ironically makes a cameo in a sequel to an awful low-budget JRPG…

    • AnimusVox

Yeah, I thought there was something…off about him being in this game.

    • As long as he didn’t drink the Bioware Koolaid, I’m still cool with him.

    • His position is a little misunderstood. He doesn’t really hate on Japanese games – he is a Japanese video game developer, after all.

He doesn’t like the situation that a lot of Japanese developers have gotten into as of late – I mean, the video game market in Japan is seriously depressed right now. The best-selling console game in Japan last year didn’t even sell a million units.

      • Yet he appears in a game that is fine example of what he’s talking about. The Japanese gaming industry was never really in trouble until Keiji said it was. Plus he was responsible for the amount of shoddy western games like Bionic Commando, Dark Void and of course DmC.

  • Barrit

Looks good! Hope this is the start to us seeing more footage! :)

  • Learii

    lol this be funny lol

  • solbalmung

The turn based battle system from the first was dropped for a Tales/Star Ocean like real time battle system. Hmm, maybe it could be better for the sequel as for me, right now Im playing Neptunia and tbh the battle system isn’t that bad, the story is nonsensical and not interseting, the characters are moe girls archetype we’ve seen a load of times, nonetheless Im having fun with this crappy yet fun game :3 !

  • Yuri alert! :O, unexpected…

Anyway it seems the battles might be like eternal sonata? :O awesome

  • that’s so.. strange. O_o

  • AzureNova

I cant wait for this! If they keep this up I might just buy 2 copies of the game! Go Nepgear!

  • HistorysGreatestMonster

Looks better than the original by far. Can’t wait to play it in English.

  • Kai2591

    Moe overload!

    and I see Kurisu-tiiinnaaa there~
