Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 Trailer Highlights Guest Character Attacks

Last week, we posted as shaky cam trailer for Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2, providing a poor man’s look at the Keiji Inafune summon and a Prinny attack. Now you can watch a high-quality (and complete) version of that same trailer below:

Aside from Inafune and the Prinny, you probably noticed a few other familiar faces. Totori from Atelier Totori and Kurisu from Steins;Gate will be making an appearance as guest characters in battle, too.

I really hope the characters like 5pb and Gust won’t cost extra this time around. I didn’t mind paying for them the first time, but I hope they’re more involved in the story for this one.

And I doubt it, but it’d be awesome if Nepgear shouts “INAFUNE BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAM-U!” during the Inafune laser attack. xD

the seiyuu list is really nice
hoccan , kitamura eri and the twin that voiced by 17 yo(ishihara kaori/reki seiyuu) & 15 yo (hinata seiyuu also the same girl doing miku project diva motion cap) seiyuu, (especially hinata innocent charm is really strong in this game)

It looks all good… yet I think having the systems being captured and strung up by tentacles is… just a little much.

The battle-system looks sort of similar to Eternal Sonata’s. In a less frustrating and timed way I should hope. Either way, I’m hyped for it. =P

The art is, like the first game, very nice. And since NPCs seem to have designated arts themselves, there’s not much to worry about 2D art so far. Rather than that, though… I’m gonna wait and see. The first game looked nice as well, but the actual result was… somewhat less exciting.

  They could have at least bothered redrawing the art for the first game’s characters. In the official site, the old characters only have portraits, while the new characters have both portraits and full body images. It’s particularly jarring because the only supporting chara with a full body image is Cave-chan.
  
  The art also has stayed the same in the game’s status screen, apparently. Why not go the extra mile.

    That’s why I’m biding my time; I wanna see this game in-depth at some point, since this is just a really quick “outside glance”. The trailer gives very little to make an insight about the game.

Speaking in terms of game mechanics, atmosphere, style…it’s like they took all the moving parts and made them run much smoother. The first game had a very unique charm, but was a little rough around the edges when you actually got to playing it. A much improved sequel I think will be welcomed by many.

WOW, they are not kidding when they say this game looks MUCh better than the original. I just wish Red-chan was here. (Crosses fingers that she will be announced later).
