First Look At Grasshopper Manufacture’s Shoot-em-up, Sine Mora

Last year, Grasshopper Manufacture announced that they would be publishing a digitally-distributed shoot-em-up, titled Sine Mora, in collaboration with Hungarian studio, Digital Reality. A teaser trailer was released for the game today:

 

 

Sine Mora is slated for release sometime this winter. While the trailer doesn’t mention it, the original announcement stated that Sine Mora features some sort of time-manipulation feature. The game will be released on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

    Plane designs are reminiscent of Progear/Akai Katana, which is just super. It looks interesting in its own right though, looking forward to seeing more.

    Doesn’t scream “Grasshopper” to me like Lollipop Chainsaw does in first impression but still is interesting enough to look forward to more info.
    Grasshopper doing different genres is good for them.

      I was thinking the same, but it does say it’s a collab and that they’re publishing, so I wonder if they’re even working on it at all. (And that was ironic to me because I can’t think of many, if any even, of their own games they’ve published.)

        From what I read months ago, Digital Reality handle the game design while Grasshopper did the settings, art direction, sound and music (so expect the likes of Akira Yamaoka and/or Jun Fukuda in the sound department).

            I agree with this. After killer 7, god hand, and no more heroes, Fukuda is one of my favorite composers.

    rar, this shmup needs more shmup in my shmup >O>! But so far really clean and slick style, really nice ship design, and as a whole I like the looks of it a lot owo; But releasing a shmup trailer without shooting makes it tough to gauge anything besides the models/visuals omo; I hope it’s got lots of bullets!

    Woah, I wasn’t expecting this to look so beautiful. I may not be a shmup fan but I am a Grasshopper fan so I think I’ll be picking this up!

    Looks quite pretty, although that dialogue was curious (and certainly a bit off).
    I can’t say I remember much about this before now, but I will be following it more closely from here on out~.

    What’s this? A vaguely serious game from Grasshopper Manufacture? My god.

    It also looks gorgeous, at least. Now we just wait to see what sets it apart from other side-scrolling shooters.
