Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. Commercials Attack Japan

By Ishaan . August 5, 2011 . 9:00am

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. is on track for its August 25th release, and while Capcom will certainly release another grand trailer for the game before then, you’ll have to make do with these quick television commercials starring Japanese celebrities in the mean time:

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. hasn’t been announced for an overseas release yet. Last we heard, Capcom USA stated that they were “pushing very hard” to be able to bring the game overseas.

Why doesn’t the US have trailers like these?

Because we are too busy dancing to Call of Booty

That would make an excellent name for a Hip-Hop song.

or an album name for a comeback tour for 2LiveCrew

At this point I don’t care if Capcom USA brings it over. I’ve gotten very used to playing Portable 3rd in Japanese, and Capcom has repeatedly mentioned that not enough of the vocal fans step up to buy the game in English. Half the people I know just pirate the game, which is really hurting the game’s chances.

I’ll just import HD. Maybe I’ll double dip if Capcom releases it in the US.

I think it is PSN exclusive.

Still quite possible to import PSN games, not sure of your meaning.

You would be mistaken. If you scroll up on this very page you can click a link and pre-order a physical copy of the game. There is even a limited edition version that comes with extra goodies.

It’s one of those things where someone is overthinking if they are not bringing it out here.  All of the games sold reasonably, not fantastic but not bad at all.  It has minimal translation necessary as well.  It’s a no brainer.  Some suit is sitting somehwere wondering if they can make $X on a different game potentially which would be slightly more than this.  Just release the games.

Dammit, I read the title too quickly and thought we’d be getting a US release. Guess I’ll import it if it doesn’t make it here. Really hoping it does, though. Got my friends interested in the series recently.

even the hot ladies in japan are playing hmmmm O___O

    IT’S GLORIOUS.

I don’t expect Capcom USA to bring this here, so I’ll probably just import it and double dip if the game somehow finds its way to the US.

    WTF. USA.

The Japanese’s favorite hobby is teasing USA gamers.

I just don’t care anymore. Capcom has lost all of my respect. I don’t plan on buying any of their games anymore and that includes Devil May HD remake.
