Sega let a few Shinobi 3DS screens loose at Gamescom, and by “few” we mean five. Shinobi was originally supposed to release in September, but was delayed to November 15th in North America. You can catch up with the game in our producer interview.

  • I don’t like the environments. They’re just too simplistic and seem over-stylized to compensate for it. I don’t hate this game, but I’m getting sick of games that look this lame on the 3DS. MGS 3D has shown the console can do bump-mapping and advanced lighting; the thing is more powerful than a Gamecube easily. Why, then, do most games still look like texture smoothed PSX titles?

cant wait to start working, looking at the European release chart made me hope a good portion of the games they getting will come to NA. majority being downloads, but i want this and tales of the abyss when they come out too (got star fox, mario land 3d, and mario kart payed already)

Wow, after that other article on Siliconera that “sort of but not really” connected Shinobi and Assassin’s Creed, I can’t help but see this new ninja as being part of the creed.

As a fan of both series, I think it’d be a really cool non-canon crossover if they ever decide to do something like that.
