Tekken 3D Prime Edition Gets Its First Trailer

By Ishaan . August 17, 2011 . 1:01pm

Last night, we posted screenshots of Tekken 3D Prime Edition for the Nintendo 3DS. Today, we have a trailer, courtesy of Namco Bandai Games Europe:

Tekken 3D Prime Edition has something in common with Tekken Hybrid for the PlayStation 3. Both packages include the Tekken: Blood Vengeance movie in 3D. Like Mario Kart 7, the game will run at 60 frames-per-second even in 3D.

Not interested, I’ll be picking up the ps3 hybrid edition and stay happy with that. The 3ds is to small to enjoy netflix, so unless the tekken game included is really awesome I’ll pass on this version.

well since were talking the 3ds and gamescom ( tekken looks awesome btw)
    anyone think this is real
i mean if so the 3ds is darn powerful.

Possibly, though not surprising. It looks great, but then I reminded myself that the 3DS’s resolution is kind of poor. MGS3DS looks almost as good as that Crysis footage.

  • So a new fighting game  with online gameplay and a 3D movie for about 35 dollars. Sounds like a deal to me! Only a fool would not be impressed uh nevermind!

Kuma is impressed that it runs in 60fps even in 3D mode. Xiou Yu is unsure what is going on because she just got out of the shower

  • Really want to get into Tekken again, haven’t played since 4.  What do I play for catch up?  Is this related to 6 or Tag?

    • No9

6 would probably be the closest.

  • Must buy for me! I hope it’s coming this year.

  • Nice very nice.

    awesome! :D

will stick for Hybrid version but cool for those who want their Tekken fix on 3DS :P

  • Ahhh….it’s so nice to see a 3DS game that actually looks like it’s pushing the hardware. Frickin’ Ocarina of Time barely looks Dreamcast-quality. What’s the point of putting in support for bump mapping and advanced lighting if most games won’t use it? You’re not going to move 3DS by putting lazy-looking games out there….or by, y’know, NOT putting games out there.

I’m all for this, Namco. Thanks for the 3DS support!
