In DmC Devil May Cry, Dante has three forms, each with their own weapon sets: human form, in which he carries Rebellion and his guns; angel form, which uses a scythe; and demon form, which uses an axe. You’ll be able to find more weapons to use in each form, however.
You switch into demon form by pressing the right trigger. Angel form is activated by pressing the left trigger. The D-Pad is used for toggling between various weapons.
DmC Devil May Cry will run at 30 frames-per-second, but will feel like a game that’s running at 60, according to producer, Motohide Eshiro. There are ways to simulate the feel of 60 fps, Eshiro says, through input being designed at 60 fps and various methods of animation, so the game doesn’t feel slow.
“I know that there’s a lot of mistrust or apprehension about us at Ninja Theory doing this game but we are going to show the game and let it be played all along the way, so people will get that opportunity,” says creative director, Tameem Antoniades.
“I’d like everyone to kind of be patient…it’s coming, you’re going to play it; you’re going to see it. You’re going to see what it’s about and we’re confident that it’s true to the spirit of what makes DMC great, and it’s true to our spirit at Ninja Theory of telling great, believable stories as well.”
