D Arts To Release Persona 4 Izanagi Figure

D-Arts are releasing a figure of Izanagi from Persona 4, complete with weapons and a display stand, based on illustrations by Naruki Fukushima.

 

While you can find the figure on AmiAmi, NCSX are taking pre-orders for $50, too. The figure will be released in December.

      An early-bird as always, eh? I still have tons of stuff with higher priorities on my list, so I’m gonna have to wait. Too bad… I really want the Bancho Persona; in P4, I stopped using it only when it becomes impossible to beat enemies with only Zio.

        I know what you mean, such an awesome design, wasted for a low level Persona, they should’ve made it possible to give him better moves.

    This is completely awesome, but I would be way more excited if it were one of the guy characters/humans. Since I believe the only figures we got from P4 were of Yukiko and Rise?

          Seeing as Bandai’s picked up one Persona Demon, I’d say it’s only a matter of time for others – maybe S.H.FiguArts for human characters, if not also D-Arts. I notice Bandai has been “on an aggressive advance” regarding figures lately.

          Not sure about Figmas though, since that line comes from Max Factory.

      Now that you mention it… Yeah! It’s because of all those upcoming Persona 4 releases that they’re trying to cash-in on merchandises! Now it all makes sense!!

          As expensive as that sounds (for us collectors, not them), I think it would be pretty cool to see more SMT figures. I mean, their humans characters serve much more purpose than just look cute, and they rarely get any figurization (if at all)!

          Oh, and, seeing as we’re on SiliconEra… You forgot S.H.Monster Arts Mara.

    Lovely. Looks like an amazing figure. Persona 4 is great, Izanagi is one of my favorite persona in the whole series.

      Depends on how much one’s willing to pay. It certainly costs more than the average Figma or S.H.FiguArts, but only by roughly 6~8$. (It costs ~43$ on Amazon JP.) If the quality is good – it does look so, at least – I’d say that’s not too bad.

      It’s a pose-able figure too, so there’s more value. D-Arts is virtually “S.H.FiguArts for non-Tokusatsu characters” with some exceptions.

      For a figure collector interested in an Izanagi, it’s quite a steal.

      The only other way to get one of him is through garage kits which easily hit $100 or $200, and then they typically won’t have the excellent sculpt or posability of a Figuarts.

    I’d rather a triple figurine set of Orpheus, Thanatos and Savior.

    With Orpheus at the center and to his left Thanatos bursting out, jaw wide open head aimed towards the ground viciously and to the right the Savior, stepping out hand to his chest and looking up high.

    Imagine it on a triangle tray, wouldn’t it be freaking epic?
