Rumour: Famitsu Reporting Second Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Add-on

Recommended Videos

A few weeks ago, rumours of a second analog pad peripheral being brought to the Nintendo 3DS surfaced on the Internet. Most scoffed at them, but Japanese reports now claim that this second Circle Pad is confirmed in this week’s Famitsu magazine.

The peripheral, which is supposedly an official Nintendo product, will add a second Circle Pad on the right side of the system. It will jut out 2-3 cm from the right side of the system, 2 cm from the bottom and 1 cm from the left. It will also reportedly add an R2 button to the 3DS.

Some sort of a cradle-like attachment, perhaps? We don’t need to tell you how outlandish this sounds. Take the news with a grain of salt for now, but we should have a confirmation soon enough if it is indeed true.
