Compile Heart And Keiji Inafune Are Up To Something...

King of Pirates isn’t the only game involving Keiji Inafune announced this week. Hyperdimension Neptunia developer, Compile Heart, have opened a teaser website for a game, with a message that displays: “Keiji Inafune is old [news]!”

 

Compile Heart followers will no doubt remember that Inafune made a guest appearance in Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 as a summon in battle, complete with a Japanese Internet meme as one of his attacks.

    Well, I guess I could assume something Neptunia if you factor in the ‘N’ but I’m not so sure.

    Yeah, I was wondering when something would come of this. I couldn’t believe they just hit Inafune to put him in as a special attack.  Can’t wait to see what he has to offer us next.

    Though this could also mean that there is a new attack with another famous developer like Itagaki or something.  Lots of interesting places to go with this.

    I’m playing Hyperdimension 1 now.  It’s got a lot of good things going for it, but also has a ton of bad.  The game just needs a quicker pace mostly.  It just drags.

    Has anyone played 2?  Is it better?

      2 is greatly improved upon, I played it. It plays out like an entirely different game, but still retains the charm of the original. One of the best JRPGs I’ve played!

    I don’t think it’s very likely to be something in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series. Not unless it’s really small-scale. Compile Heart is the only company listed for copyright. By contrast, the main page for Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 shows copyright for Gust, Nippon Ichi, 5pb, Comcept, Idea Factory and Compile Heart.

    It’s possible that the company is intentionally omitting showing the other copyrights until after they open the site up completely, especially considering it mentions Inafune but has no copyright for comcept, but I doubt this is the case.

        Also his sword is a lightsaber but he isnt a Jedi. Just a Samurai with a lightsaber.

    I took that to mean that they’ve got another developer they’re throwing into a game that isn’t Inafune. Y’know, since he’s old news. But if it’s a game with him that’d be great.

    The site now has a new teaser, implying that Inafune may be taking a permanent position at Idea Factory?

    Also, there’s one more copyright now, that of GCRest. From what I read on their site, they make online and mobile games, so unless more copyrights appear, I’m not expecting this project to be a console title.
