Last month, the Korean Rating Board revealed Jax and Daxter Collection for an unspecified platform, with Sony listed as the game’s publisher. We can now confirm that this will indeed be a PlayStation 3 release as suspected.

Expected so, with HD remasters how can you not have Jak?  I am wondering if I should play Jak 3, I loved Jak and Daxter but didn’t like Jak II all that much.

Totally new to the series. What’s it like?

Jak I is like Mario 64 while Jak II has an action twist with guns and driving missions.  I haven’t played Jak III but it plays similarly to II.

Oh I thought Sony confirmed, cant wait to see screens. Next year I think I will attempt to get Sly Collection, all the Ratchets and Clank Futures, and then these Jak and Daxter Trilogy, coveted platformers.

Thank Jeebus and Kevin Butler. I’ve been waiting for this to be confirmed. I only got to play 3 for a brief moment but it seemed awesome. So want this!

This is SO awesome! I love Jak & Daxter, almost as much as I love (classic) Spyro.

What else would it of been for? Sony owns the rights to the franchise… other than a Vita release, of course it’s for PS3.

It would have been an excellent launch title for PSV.
Something that high-profile would be potentially a killer app.

Awwww… “Trilogy edition”? I guess that means no “Jak X”.  And, to screw over High Impact Games, no “Jak & Daxter: Lost Frontier”. That sucks. I bet there are a lot of fans of Naughty Dog’s Jak games who ignored the 2009 PSP (and later, PS2) fourth game. This was a great opportunity to bring that game to more gamers…

I’m glad it’s coming, but I hope it’s not merely a trilogy. That fourth game was pretty rad.

I wouldn’t know about a fourth Jak & Daxter game, but a Trilogy Edition sounds awesome. Despite the recommendations I get, I’ve yet to play any Jak & Daxter games, so a trilogy is definitely not Awwww for people like me ^o^

As for being merely a trilogy, I think a trilogy implies three games, so I don’t think the fourth game would be included. Unless they decide to skip one of them so they can add the fourth game, but I highly doubt it.

Anyway, this is a perfect opportunity to finally get around to play Jak & Daxter ^o^

I do hope you’re joking. Lost Frontier was an abomination.

To be honest with ya, the only Jak and Daxter games I care for are the first three anyway. And the Daxter game on the psp was also fun, but it couldn’t compare to the first three.

Sony confirmed its existence to IGN yesterday, too. I’m alllllll kinds of excited. This and Ratchet & Clank were neck and neck for my favorite PS2 series.

I’ll be getting this one for sure! I’ve only ever played the first one, so I’m really looking forward to this Trilogy Edition.
