Famitsu.com have a first look at another three characters in Soulcalibur V. This time on the reveal platter are Cervantes, Yoshimitsu, Lizardman (Aeon), and a new character named Xiba. Let’s begin with Cervantes, who’s 44-years-old in this game:
Next up is Yoshimitsu:
Now, onto Lizardman. There are multiple Lizardmen in the Soulcalibur world. This one is Aeon, who has appeared in all four Soulcalibur titles to date:
And finally, our newcomer, Xiba, just 16-years-old, and he looks like he might be replacement for Kilik, given his weapon of choice and the fact that he was raised in the mountains surrounding the temple Kilik trained at. Xiba appears to be travelling alongside Maxi, Leixia and Natsu.
Soulcalibur V director, Daishi Odashima, called Kilik an “ill-fated character”. While we don’t know what has happened to him just yet, Leixia, who is Xianghua’s daughter (and another new playable character), wears Kilik’s necklace.
You can check out more screens of the four newly revealed characters at Famitsu.
Update: An English announcement from Namco Bandai reveals that the new characters English name is localized as “Xiba”.
