Club Nintendo Europe: Register Two 3DS Games, Get 3D Classics: Kid Icarus Free

In October, Nintendo revealed that their next 3D Classics title for the Nintendo 3DS would be 3D Classics: Kid Icarus. The game was announced alongside a special Club Nintendo promotion in Japan, where members could register two Nintendo 3DS games by January 15th and receive 3D Classics: Kid Icarus as a reward.

Nintendo of Europe are carrying this campaign out as well. If you register any two of the following Nintendo 3DS games by January 31st, you’ll receive a code to download 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for free, from January 5th onwards:

Additionally, once you register your two games, you’ll also be entered into a draw to win one of 3,000 limited edition Mario, Peach and Toad-themed Nintendo 3DS systems. To increase your chances of winning, you’re allowed to enter up to five times (which means registering 10 games) and there are 1,000 Mario, 1,000 Princess Peach and 1,000 Toad systems to be won.

This is the same promotion that was conducted in Japan as well, where 3D Classics: Kid Icarus was a “consolation” prize, and the real prize was one of the three limited edition 3DS systems. Check Club Nintendo Europe for more details.

I’ll be honest, I’m extremely jealous of Europe’s Club Nintendo.  To this day I still want a SNES classic controller or the Mario Galaxy OST (wii bundles don’t count)

  • Go2hell66

damn that sux! i just traded in/sold all my games to get tales of the abyss next week

  • malek86

I already registered Resident Evil, DOAD and Ocarina, so I should be getting that code. Then again, knowing Nintendo Europe, anything might happen (still waiting for that Zelda OST here).

    • http://twitter.com/mistermeemee mistermeemee

still waiting for the SNES classic controller and the Mario Galaxy OST here.  Hey… I’ll trade you (seriously).  I have the Zelda OST (unopened even).

Speaking of, we’re starting to get games for Club Nintendo with certain third-party U.S. games, too! I got one with Sonic Generations and someone on another site said they got one with some WWE game. :D

      • http://twitter.com/mistermeemee mistermeemee

Hey, how is Sonic Generations on the 3DS?

It’s not a bad game unless your a OG Sonic fan that feels Classic Sonic should not have the homing attack. He gets the move halfway through the game. The cool thing is it has online multiplayer. Where you get to race against another player. This feature is also connected to your Mii Plaza. So whoever you race besides getting a Sonic Profile card from them. You get their Mii inside your plaza just in case you haven’t gotten any yet.

I haven’t had a chance to play much of it yet, sadly. Just 20 minutes or so. :(

      • malek86

Here we’re getting them with every single game. I thought it was just a launch thing, but it looks like they are here to stay. Good for me, since I don’t buy many first-party games.

But still, they need to get their star converter for eShop money too. Wii Points are almost useless now.

        • http://www.siliconera.com Ishaan

Yea, I know Europe has been doing that for a while, so I was honestly a little jealous. I can’t see stuff like RE and Kingdom Hearts not having codes in the U.S. after this, though.

And there’s one in Tales of the Abyss too ;)

        • http://www.siliconera.com Ishaan

Oooh. Cool! Glad to see they’re doing this. Makes racking up those Platinum points a lot easier.

nice, didn’t know that was happening..

    • malek86

Oh, wait a second… they said it will only count if you’ve registered the games after November 1st.

      This sucks.

  • SirRichard

I have Ocarina registered and won’t have money for another game until January, so that’s helpful.

And while I wouldn’t use it that much, the Mario and Toad ones are quite nice.

  • aoihana

I’ve said this before, but wow, I love that Princess Peach 3DS, it’s so pretty! (◕‿◕✿) I wish luck to everyone participating in the draw!

I know I’m being a little too hopeful, but anyone know if Club Nintendo is international, or is it limited to it’s territory? Like, can I participate in Club Nintendo Japan, even though im in the USA?

    • http://www.oneltwops.org Santashi

Pretty sure it’s limited to the region you’re in, I’m afraid. :(

    • Joanna

Yeah I can vouch for @santashi:disqus . When I signed up for Club Nintendo, entering
an address was required (and if you entered a postal code that wasn’t
from that region, it wouldn’t accept your registration). I guess if you
had a friend over there, you could use their address
and they could then send it to you, but it seems like a lot of work.
Also, you need to buy the games from that region. You can’t enter North
American codes in Club Nintendo Europe and vice versa.

      • aoihana

I see, thanks for the info. Since I was importing games, I thought I could build up points, but I can’t, after all.

  • http://twitter.com/Linka13 Linka

Lucky. I hope they announce this for America too– I have Pokemon Rumble Blast and Star Fox I could register, since I don’t think I have yet for the latter.

    • Zonic505

Agreed. I seriously hope we get this in the US, if just for the chance to get Kid Icarus free.

Hopefully, it counts if you already registered some of those games before said contest started (I got Super Mario 3D Land & OoT 3D registered, plus Mario Kart 7 soon).

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Farid-Belkacemi/1073052585 Farid Belkacemi

I will just register two games – Mario & Mario lol – I never won this kind of campaign after all… But thanks Nintendo ! :)

  • puchinri

    Oh, please come here. I’ll start buying 3DS games like mad. ;u;

Those 3DS designs look so cute~<3

  • http://twitter.com/DaemonGildas Jared Kane Corbett

    GIMMEH!!!!

Seriously I want that Toad one. Bootifull! Hopefully this comes to the NA Club Nintendo. Although, admittedly, I would love a Yoshi one even more ^_^

  • Joanna

You have a Japanese 3DS correct? Don’t worry I’m sort of in the same boat as you. I’ve got a North American 3DS but I’ve moved to Europe recently. My old North American Club Nintendo has a family friend’s address in it (it won’t accept any postal code but a North American one). The European Club Nintendo asks for a product code to start the set up and not having bought any European games yet, I can’t go further in (I tried entering the North American code for Ocarina of Time 3D but it says it’s invalid). I was looking through the European awards catalogue and oh boy, they have some nice rewards. So much better than the North American ones, although some of them look really hard to reach.

    • aoihana

Yeah, I have a Japanese 3DS. Europe, eh? That’s awesome, well at least you can start building up points. It seems like Club Nintendo Japan has some awesome rewards, too, but I wont be able to cash in. I think I’ll see if someone here would like to register my points, or something. At least they wont go to waste!

      • Joanna

        Yeah that really is the downside to region based reward programs. I’ve got quite a few coins left on my old North American account (plus a few games I still need to register). I’m going to have to see if I can get someone to ship my reward to me here. It would be such a waste not to use those points. ;__;
