The Amazing Spider-Man Swings Out With A Debut Trailer

By Ishaan . December 13, 2011 . 12:03pm

Following a teaser trailer released prior to the Spike Video Game Awards, Activision have released a full trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, set to tie-in with the release of the movie next summer. As previously reported, the videogame version of The Amazing Spider-Man takes place after the events of the movie:

Activision have said that The Amazing Spider-Man will allow you to swing freely through the city of Manhattan. The game is being developed by Beenox, who also worked on Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. It’s slated for release on the Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS.

    It looks pretty awesome! (☆^ー^☆)

But then again, the last Spider-Man I’ve played was Spider Man: The Movie for the PS2

    (*^ワ^*)

I think I’ll pick this up next year, but I’ll wait and see some coverage.Activision have said that The Amazing Spider-Man will allow you to swing freely through the city of Manhattan.

That’s awesome, I remember when I played on the PS2, you’d die if you scaled down a building too far, or if you fall. But I’m sure a lot of recent Spider-Man games have improved it’s roaming since then. (◕‿◕✿)

The game looks as if it is using the same engine or whatever as the last Marvel Ultimate Alliance, something about the movement of the enemy and the style of the cutscenes. I do wish we received another one of that series.

Anyway this trailer actually looked cool during the VGA’s, maybe Ill get it when it gets a price drop.

I’ll make sure I check out the movie before probably renting this.

    Hell yeah! A new Spider…

Oh wait, still too early to celebrate. This reminds me of Web of Shadows but can’t say anything more until we see more gameplay footage. It would be awesome if there were cutscenes with Peter in them, like in the good old Spider-Man 2.

I’m kind of disappointed that Spider-Man is fighting more robots. I mean, some robots are okay, but I’d much prefer villains and henchmen. Fighting giant robots as Spider-Man just don’t look very fun to me, or even in line with what his powers are capable of…

ok, i gonna place my one last hope on this, Due to the fact that free swinging exists.
have always been a spidey fan, much more than anyone else in the Marvel and DC universe, but there have yet to be a game that impressed me by far apart from that certain game you-know-what.

    GO SPIDEY GO!
