The First Fast-Paced Gyrozetter Trailer Speeds Out Of Jump Festa

By Ishaan . December 19, 2011 . 11:00am

While we won’t hear about the Nintendo 3DS game until next year, Square Enix showed off a new trailer for the arcade version of their new franchise, Gyrozetter, at the Jump Festa trade show in Japan this past weekend. Take a look at this below:

Gyrozetter is a game with cars that can transform into robots. In a neat twist, the actual arcade cabinet itself transforms, too. The arcade game is slated for release in Japan in summer 2012. A manga is currently being serialized in Saikyo Jump magazine, there are plans for merchandise, and A-1 Pictures are working on an anime version as well.

Oh, and it looks like Square might have plans to bring the series overseas.

Seems intriguing but I want to see how it looks first.

    Epic music, epic trailer.

    1) I hope the 3DS version is this amazing and awesome.

    2) I hope the 3DS version comes out soon.

    3) I am ready.

Too bad the 3DS game won’t look NEARLY this good.

    Looks spectacular though.

I want to see someone actually *playing* that cabinet, so we can see what the transformation gimmick actually looks like in practice.

It doesn’t seem to have any racing elements, despite that the mechs are cars.

They could easily fit into Super Robot Wars…

Who would have thought that the A with wings going across it would be the logo for Gyrozetter :D

Is it bad of me to seek the Arcade version for, I don’t know, the PS3 instead of the 3DS version which we haven’t seen anything of yet, simply because I want to play this in it’s full HD glory?

Anyway I take what I get, that is if we do get the 3DS version in the west~

Also I say it again this is easily the best franchise Square Enix got their hands on and if they mess it up in any way possible I won’t ever support them!!!!!!!!(see the exclamation marks? They are full of my hate, look closely you can see it!)

Not bad at all. Seeing this made me wish for some kind of console version too. Perhaps not instead of on 3DS, but in addition to it.

    • puchinri

I was thinking the same. Echoing Solomon_Kano, a console version in general would be wonderful, but I did think PS3 myself at first too.

Lol, agreed on the last part too.

And extra note, I like your Shouma icon/avatar~.

  • Solomon_Kano

Looks freaking awesome, but I don’t see it ending up on 3DS in the same form. So now I’m even more interested to see how they’re doing that version.

  • pgover

This trailer contains so much awesome and badassery i don’t know where to start. This is one of the most epic things I’ve seen from Square Enix in quite some time. Makes me wonder what the 3DS game is gonna look like (so hoping it comes to North America).

  • Exand

Aw, it’s just a card battle game :|

Initially I thought it was going to be some kind of Virtual-On / Gundam Extreme Vs type game.

  • Gatchaman1

Chocobots! Transform and combine into Toriyamamis Trollerplex! Fire the Time Loop Cannon!

  • puchinri

It looks pretty and quite snazzy, I’d certainly play it too; but I wonder what’s stopping it from becoming a lightweight copy of a few different mecha franchises out there already.

  • theworldofnoboundries

This game is just beautiful and it looks interesting with all of those japanese cars and their “Transformation” into mecha.

Well hope that this game will success outside of Japan and not  meeting the same fate of Gundam:Senjou no Kizuna arcade game which dies outside and now only reserved for Japan and Taiwan only.
