Yakuza Studio Working On Project A, More Info In Three Days

Sega are teasing a new project in development at their Yakuza studio, conceptualized by Yakuza series producer, Toshihiro Nagoshi. It’s currently dubbed “Project-A,” but there’s no word on whether it’s a Yakuza title or not.

The Yakuza studio is presently working on Binary Domain, an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 shooter slated for release in early 2012, and on Yakuza 5 for the PlayStation 3.

The image above, captured from the new project’s teaser website, says that more information on the project will be revealed worldwide in three days’ time.

Nice find, Ishaan. I’m sort of curious.
Though to be honest I’m really irritated by the Yakuza studio. They have barely done anything to promote Binary Domain outside Japan. I mean look at the website difference! Every national website for BD is bland and has a release date. However, on the Japanese site it has a ton of stuff from the director, behind the scenes footage, technical images, a story and character biography section, and a closer look at the Kazuma DLC. I was hyped for that game at first, but going by where their effort is going and how one-sided it is I just lost all give-a-buck.
If they don’t care, why should I?

I don’t know what Project A could possibly be, but even thought I’m kind of curious about it, it’ll have to be really good to make me look at this studio nicely again.

Oh yeah, blame the game designer and developer for the shortcommings of their marketing team.
You are a genius, good sir.

While I would normally agree with you, I doubt the marketing team is disassociated from the director of the studio, who is personally in tons of promotional material for the game for the Japanese market.
In the very least they could just subtitle a few of those two -to- three minute long clips of him explaining certain scenes/in an interview and posting it up.
Not even that was done, though.

Besides, it’s clear from what the studio (it was either him or another representative) stated in a press release early on that the devs literally think all the game needs to sell well overseas is a focus on guns.
To paraphrase: “The game’s action and gunplay will appeal to the West, while the story will appeal to the Japanese.”
That is a grave mistake they’ll just need to learn the hard way.

Anytime Yakuza studio has a new project, it really puts a smile on my face. (^v^)

They’ve been coming up with some wild projects, so it makes me wonder what this is all about, especially with those glowing red eyes in the background. It’s kind of scary, honestly! (/.\)

We’ll find out in three days time! (◕‿◕✿)

The Yakuza Studio is amazing studio, even when Sega were developing pretty crappy games, it was their Yakuza Studio that still were making excellent games. I have no doubt that their next game going to be creative and very fun to play. i mean just look at Binary Domain and Yakuza Series.
