First Look At Persona 4 Visual Live’s Cast In Costume

Marvelous AQL are adapting Persona 4 into a live-action stage play, and released the first photos of a few of the play’s main cast in costume this week. Take a look at them below:

Persona 4 Visual Live will run from March 15, 2012 to March 20 at the Sunshine Theater in Ikebukuro.

      I have to say your positive attitude is one your best well-known trait.

      I can’t even have a positive attitude for one day. Most of the time i end up in a grouchy mood. But I always have a good attitude either way. I do try so.

    looks pretty good i guess for a live action adaptation, but why is this happening.

      Cause they’re milking P4 to death.

        …no, the goal of business is not to “milk” your products to death.

        What they are doing is expanding into different markets for additional revenue streams to help fund future development.  Atlus is a relatively small developer and doesn’t have the coffers that the big dogs in Japan has.  This also keeps and expands the Persona name in order to potentially generate additional revenue when Persona 5 is ultimately released, since that won’t be for some time.  

        It is extremely difficult for a small developer to stay “relevant” on current generation systems without a large flow of capital (this is especially important if you want your product to be viable in the West), Atlus is just taking steps to ensure they are not only able to stay relevant, but grow at the same time.

    What bothers me about this is that I think Chie is a little too attractive here.  Now before people jump on my throats, Chie is actually one of my favorite characters, but she was depicted both in the game and in the anime as someone who isn’t necessarily known for her looks and is in the shadow of both Yukiko and Rise in that department (part of Chie’s jealousy issues early in the game).

    The problem with Chie being a little too attractive here is that she’s stealing the spotlight in that regard from Yukiko (and potentially Rise), and for fans of the game, believability becomes a little more strained.  I personally find that’s exactly what’s happening here as she is stealing the spotlight from Yukiko in these promotional pictures.

      (Sorry if this is a double post or something) Style and personality is a major point of attractiveness, though. Yukiko was essentially the ideal japanese woman (rich, demure, long hair, etc), and Chie was more of a tomboy than anything. That was probably a turn off to those around her, and i’m sure it didn’t do much for her self-esteem to be hanging out with everyone’s dream wife + a famous idol. Even if she was physically attractive, it’s easy to see how she could be pushed into the background. It’d be even more maddening and logical for her jealousy if she wasn’t even that bad looking. I: Personally, I find the Yukiko more attractive…

        Also, if you look up the actors, you’ll see that Chie’s actress was just looking rather pretty because of the angle. Not to say she’s ugly, but she pales in comparison (up front) to Yukiko’s actress.

      To be fair in the game she’s really cute (that’s just the anime style though, tends to make most things cute) and this actor seems to capture that look.

    Good choices .. but personally i will Choose Shinjiro Atae As (Hero) and Shuta Sueyoshi As Yosuke .. Ofcurse both of them are in the same Japanese band ( AAA ) .. but they are perfectly fit as a Persona characters :]

    Very cool. I noticed in quite a few live action adaptations of games and anime the characters tend to look …nothing like the characters, so bravo here.
