Sing & Smile Brings Cheerleader Costumes To Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai

Sega have revealed more costumes (they don’t call them modules here) for Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai, as well as the video for one of the songs in the game — Sing & Smile, by Re:nG. Let’s start with the song:

This game will probably be one of the first I pick up with an import, revised 3DS if Nintendo doesn’t ditch the region locking along with it (I’m not getting my hopes up for that happening so I won’t end up disappointed).

I am tempted to see if they crack the 3DS like they did to the DS and buy it legit and play it like that. That way I am not stealing it and I don’t have to pay for another 3DS, because I am not gonna do that.

A crack that bypasses the region locking is probably a matter of “when” rather than “if”. I’m mostly looking towards a revised 3DS in hopes of an integrated 2nd analog pad because I think the Circle Pad Pro looks very sloppy.

Oh yeah the second analog thingy, I had forgotten about it. I honestly don’t know if I’ll buy it. Maybe if I have a spare $20 or something. I guess Nintendo will revise the 3DS, maybe next yearon the E3 or something they’ll announce it.

The cheerleader costumes are so cute, but I think Miku takes the crown this time. Rin had her time to shine with her extravagant costume last time. （*＾ワ＾*）
At first, I was pretty interested how some original PV’s would be reworked into 3D, like in Piano Girl, for example, but now I’m not too thrilled. (´∩｀。)
I found some gameplay footage on Nico, and from the looks of it, Matryoshka will be just a regular PV, not even 3D. I was hoping for it to have a Project Mirai PV, but there are still a few months left, so I haven’t lost hope. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
But I guess this isn’t too bad, really. The first Project Diva had quite a few original PV’s for some of the songs, but got Project Diva PV’s for the next game, so I’m sure Project Mirai will get the same treatment. (☆^ー^☆)
What I did learn, and now love, is that Project Mirai appears to have difficulty levels. or at least harder songs. Matryoshka, for example, from the footage I saw, uses all four buttons, which is freaking awesome. I was a little disappointed how the gameplay footage shown before only used two buttons, but now I’m glad that four made it in!

That is absolutely adorable. I have to buy this game and a Japanese 3DS next year. I’m still sad that I missed out on the pre-order for the limited edition bundle at amiami and play-asia hasn’t started taking pre-orders yet either for it (it’s listed, but you can’t put it in your cart).

Since we have ‘Daughter of Evil’, I hope ‘Servant of Evil’ makes it in. Oh and ‘Trick and Treat’, which I think may be my favourite vocaloid song. :3
I hope someone cracks the 3DS because I just can’t buy another one. Still need to try one of the PSP games (why are there so many games?! I can’t keep up with you Japan. D: )
