Phantom Breaker To See Title Update In Japan

Recently, 7Sixty and Southpeak Interactive announced that they would be releasing Mages’ 80%-gals-fighter, Phantom Breaker, in North America. The North American release of the game will come in a limited edition containing a mini strategy guide, desk calendar and two double-sided posters.

To coincide with the North American release of the game, Mages will be releasing a title update for the Japanese version. Details of this, they say, will be provided at a later date.

Phantom Breaker is slated for release on the Xbox 360 on March 6th in North America.

    As in DLC tweaks?

They’re being vague as to just what it entails, so we’ll have to wait and see.

Hopefully it’ll be a patch that makes the game-play smoother.

As in patch.  “Title Update” is the MS term for patches.

what kind of game is this and what is it about again?

    • Ladius

It’s a 2d beat’em up focused on weapon fighting, with a clash system and different styles for each characters (think of it as something like the Samurai Spirits games). It has a visual novel story mode and cameos from Chaos Head and SteinsGate.

Its sprites are quite polished, but animations are still somewhat stiff, even if the game plays better than the promotional videos suggested.
