COME ON REALLY ARE TO LAZY TO PORT THIS TO THE 3DS IT WOULD SELL BETTER UGH!!!

    • Suicunesol

I’d prefer Soul Calibur II, but yeah same here.

        yeah
Soul Calibur II+ Zelda was great

        • Gatchaman1

          Thats the problem

You wouldnt get Zelda on the iPhone.

          Then there’s Spawn and Heihachi

Wow that hud and control scheme worry me.  Not only does it take up half the screen but we also block the screen with our fingers.
At least it is customizable, which helps a little.

The beginning of the new world? If this game, and the GTA3 sells well on the Iphone. What’s stopping them from putting new games on there. The Iphone, and IPad have the power to deliver the games. If this happens how will developers tackle the price between the IOS version, and a retail console version?

The difference is that Soulcalibur and GTA3 made their money back years ago. This is just like a re-release of old games several years later.

    • James Beatty

GTA 3 is bloody awful on the iphone.

  • RaikageV

It is physically impossible to play a game like Soul Calibur with touchscreen controls. Except you want to loose every fight, even in training mode.

Ugh. Why does it have to be on the iPhone…….I hate playing games on that no-button device! xC

My though exactly. I tried SFIV once but using the screen as stick feels horrible. It took me hours to do a Hadou-ken xD

      • tetrisdork

It took you hours? I’m sorry, but I found the virtual d-pad to be much easier in trying to perform Cammy’s Hooligan Combo than I ever had with a stick or actual D-Pad.

It’s a good thing I still have Soul Calibur on my Dreamcast. I would’ve thrown my iPad if I had trouble with the controls.

      indeed

I’m fairly confident that they know most people, that is, most people who usually play games wont buy something like this. Its just there to appeal to the mainstream market without hurting funds and enough to make profits.

I REALLY wish Namco would bring this game to PSN. All the other games were on Playstation platforms so why not the 1999 game as well? Why didn’t they made this game a launch title for the PS2 or simply release it in 2000? DOA2 was on Dreamcast but it was ported to the PS2.

I don’t understand how Namco couldn’t have bring it to PSN like they did with Xbox Live Arcade? Was is an exclusive deal? I guess but so the GTA IV DLC… for a while until they came to PC and PS3. I wish they could at least explain if they aren’t planning bring SC to PSN.

    • BOSSFIGHT

Grand Theft Auto DLC was a self contained deal, as is every other game attached to a publishing contract. They all have different terms and have nothing to do with each other.

Buy a 360 if you want the game so bad, I can’t comprehend why anyone would not want a 360 since the Xbox Live Arcade is packed with many different types of games including updated niche Japanese titles not available on other current platforms.

I want pay to get on to Xbox Live for a month since I can go on to the Playstation Store for free and only pay for what is there to offer.

Going onto Xbox Live would be like having to pay to get into a grocery store on a monthly basis. Namco would really cash-in if the Dreamcast classic came to PSN because not all of us want to play games on an iPad. There would be no way to play against someone else.

        • BOSSFIGHT

You do not have to have xbox live to buy games or any content for that matter.

Guardian Heroes for example, my live subscription lapsed a month before it came out yet I still bought it and played offline.

  • ivanchu77

    PSN release when?

  • James Beatty

I do hope they make soul calibur 5 for the 3DS/Wii U with a nintendo guest character. Soul calibur 2 got me into fighting games (i bought it because of link :P) and i would love another game like that. If tekken and dead or alive both run really well on the 3DS, i don’t see why this game can’t

Just get Broken Destiny on PS3.

      • http://myanimelist.net/profile/Kuronoa Kuronoa

That’s not a Nintendo platform… and they ported that game?  Wiki says PSP only…

  • thebanditking

SoulCalibur without an actual analog stick or buttons? Think I’ll pass.

  • Crowlevel8

Yes this is awesome but touch controls aren’t really the best for fighters.

Yes, but will I be able to attach a dreamcast fishing controller to it?

  • http://twitter.com/ChaseBurr Chase Bonner

this is awesome. i hope it comes to america.
