Nintendo 3DS sales: 100,668 | Total sales: 4,623,629

PlayStation Vita sales: 18,361 | Total sales: 501,262

Now that the end-of-year festivities are over in Japan, sales plummeted across the board in the second week of the year. The highest-selling game for the week was Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Masou Kishin I & II for the PSP at 82,000 copies.

Following behind it were the usual 3DS suspects — Mario Kart 7, Monster Hunter 3G, Super Mario 3D Land and Inazuma Eleven Go.

New releases were slow. Further down the chart from Super Robot Taisen, was Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir, Nintendo and Tecmo’s Fatal Frame augmented reality spin-off game for the 3DS. Even lower on the chart, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy snuck a few copies in as well, barely making the top-10.

Meanwhile, PlayStation Vita hardware sales dropped even lower during the week, coming in at under 20k. The device was outsold once again by its predecessor, the PSP, which itself sold 22,500 units.

The top-20 chart for the week is as follows:
