Samus Varia Suit Figma Detailed, Coming In June

Last month, we learnt that Max Factory’s PVC Samus figurine would be released in June, but we didn’t have a date for the Samus figma. An AmiAmi listing reveals that the figma is slated for a June release as well. Their listing also provides new images of the figure, all with recognizable poses right out Metroid: Other M:

The figma comes with two beam effects, a Morph Ball accessory, a stand, and  five different parts for Samus’ left hand. It’s slated for release in late June. AmiAmi will only ship the figma within Japan, but Hobby Search have it available, too. It costs $40 on their website.

    Upon seeing Samus give a thumbs-up, I was swiftly overcome with a case of the most damnable giggles. I laughed and chortled until I cried.
    No, seriously. For some reason “Thumbs-up Samus” is my favorite thing of the week so far.

    I think the designers decided “Hey, let’s release a Samus figure that can possibly go into each of her BEST poses.” Cuz seriously, those pics are showing it in all the poses that matter. ;_; <3

    Just a quick notice, that “For sale in Japan only” thing on Amiami means absolutely nothing. You’ll still be able to purchase it from there even if you don’t live in Japan.

    Also I will give Max Factory every last bit of my money for this. Hopefully if it sells well enough, Nintendo might allow for more decent figures based on their franchises to be made. I’d kill for a set of Earthbound Nendoroids.

    I was checking Ami Ami all day yesterday. I’m so happy to finally get some Metroid figures, I’m a huge fan of the games (it’s my favorite game series) and an avid figure collector so this really makes me happy.

      haha it totally does. I’ve found most figures that come with beam effects usually look cooler without them.

    WOW.  $40 really is a steal for such a beautiful figma.  I honestly expected it to cost at least twice as much.  I’m pretty much broke at the moment, but I won’t be this Summer! *orders* ^_^

    I don’t think it has all the recognizable poses from Other M, I don’t see any pictures of the figure weeping ineffectually.

      I’d like that, too. While Fusion had it’s good and bad points, I liked where they were going with the story. Then they went “oh, we’re never continuing that. Here’s Other M”.

          Some of them are, I only own Metis (persona 3 FES) and Kurisu (Stein Gate).
