Resident Evil 6′s Leon And Helena Pose For Character Art

Resident Evil 6 has both returning and new characters. Leon, part of the returning cast, seems to have grown a few years since we last saw him, and Helena, his latest partner, is a new face entirely. Capcom released official art of both characters this week, giving a better look at them than the game’s trailer:

        Also, because there’s no narcicistic egomaniac working as the lead designer in this game. Who thinks giving the main character his own face is a pretty cool idea.

          i disagree, i think the haircut is a trend not a personal thing. others have that kind of haircut.
          i’m more interested in that ‘i don’t give a frag’ type of char than in the classic joker dante  usually is. it doesn’t make me laugh it doesn’t entertain me. i liked the crazy frag dante  with normal hair color of the firsts trailers. but it seems they randomized everything about him in the latest trailer: seems like a random char now.

    leon looks way better then his RE4 appearance but still why do they change the characters looks in every new game..?

    did anyone noticed chris is less beefy..

      I don’t know, RE4 Leon still looks pretty damn good, if you ask me! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

      But yeah, I guess Capcom does this to keep a series fresh, or something. But honestly, I respect that, and I guess it makes sense, really, but I can’t help but dislike it. (´＿｀。)

      Sometimes, it’s like they’re a whole new character, so just when you love them in one game, they’re someone else in another. 

      But that’s just me. ┐(‘～`；)┌

        I think Leon in RE6 is a perfect example of time and maturing, but some of the characters(Not specifically in RE6) look like they died and were replaced with look-a-like’s to fill their partner’s voids. （*＾ワ＾*）

          i would have liked a suitless maskless hank instead of the ‘living cure’ guy paired with rachel….. but wait…. maybe he is hank? if he was that would be a nice tie to the raccooon city upcoming game …i read somewhere hank is in it…..

    I think new Leon looks better than new Chris did.  Though def a bit too on the brooding side of things.

          I prefer Leon’s RE4 look, too, but it’s more because it was a little more consistent in its design overall. He had his bishounen-esque look, but it wasn’t overly effeminate and he gave off a “cool” vibe instead. They also made sure to keep his figure well-built, which helped keep that balance. 

          Also, with Ada and Ashley’s involvement, Leon did very much have a “popular with ladies” feel going for him. It didn’t require much effort to imagine that he might have toughened up after Raccoon City, joined the secret service, and ultimately grown more confident over the years until he reached his RE4 mannerisms.

          That said, RE6 Leon still looks like the natural progression you’d expect. He’s older, he’s been through more stress since we last saw him. First there was RE4, then there was the fiasco in RE: Degeneration. The stubble and the new clothes suit him very well, considering he must be, what…late 20s?

          I just wish they’d done something about the hair because, while it -is- Leon’s most recognizable trait, it still looks really odd when paired with that stubble. You’d expect to see him in an Axe or a Levi’s ad or something. :P

            Yeah, definitely. You know, I’ve been reading a few people point these things out and it definitely makes sense.

            Such traumatic experiences and all that stress definitely takes a toll on you. This is why I appreciate his look and overall vibe a whole lot more. He definitely has this darkness to him, which I find is very appealing and realistic considering what he went through.

            I guess my inner fangirl kind of got carried away, and still yearns for the RE4 Leon!

            I love the attention they paid to his clothes, too. His shirt, especially. It just “fits,” him wearing something like that at his age. It’s believable. 

            …but it’s also what gives him the Axe/Levi’s look.

            Chris, on the other hand, is as much of a mannequin as ever. He looks like the guy from Binary Domain to me now, just with more stubble. :P

            while i do like how they aged leon….i have to say that he didn ‘t age well. 
            i mean i like the fact that he isn’t as hot as when he was younger. people do age like that sometimes and i ‘m glad capcom arranged for a change that isn’t hot . or as hot as it was. it feels more realistic that way.
            did they HAD to create a new char? i tend to like chars in RE and wonder about what they become during other games. like what is ada doing while i’m struggling in RE 0? adding chars adds more people to wonder about. people i might never hear about again. i know i will wonder about cute ‘biker’ redfield while playing this game…i would have rather them taking the merc from RE3 or the convict from RE0 or even HANK to be that walking and talking cure of a char they added in that RE 6. i LOVED that they added small bios’what is up with that char’ in RE 3 well,as a bonus or something. i really would like to see more little things like Ada checking out her gigantic scar in a mirror or (i made this one up:) jill visiting barry’s tomb…a nice gallery basicall

            i think all of them would murder you in you sleep: with what they witness and survive each game , it is a surprise they are still sane.

            i liked how the blonde woman freaked out after the dog attack episode in criminal minds(one of the old seasons eps): she saw a non existing growling dog behind her in a mirror. same thing for in plain sight : the repeated micro nervous breakdowns of the main char after her big trauma….too bad we don’t have that in RE either.. everything goes so fast and ends so quick that we don’t have the time to see how they cope afterwards.

    In my opinion Leon looks much better than he looked in RE4.

      Yeah, his new character design kinda shows off the whole “I survived Raccoon City” attitude that he didn’t seem to have in RE4. It actually makes him look more believable.

    I quite like Leon’s new look, i hope his attitude also changes, i hated his “i’m badass” way in RE4 with one liners and stuff, there was enough with Dante -_-

    Definitely more excited for this game then worried at this point. I have high hopes for then entry, maybe as much as when they showed Code Veronica for the DC all those yrs ago. Good times…

      Jill won’t be happening, unless it’s a Mercenaries/VS type mode… she’s been “dead” for about two years, timeline wise, and Chris won’t find out for another year after this.

    well i hope there are different costumes after you finish the game !
