Final Fantasy XIII 2 Now Supports Facebook Sharing

Square Enix have added another new feature to Final Fantasy XIII-2: Facebook integration. You can share your progress in the game via a direct connection to your Facebook account.

Things you can share include your progress, party setup, battle scores and other information.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is now available in all regions for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

I’ve never understood stuff like this. Does anyone actually make use of it?

    • http://twitter.com/DanijoEX DanijoEX

Who knows? I don’t. Obviously, I don’t have a FaceBook account nor would I actually use this feature. Who would be interest in someone sharing their progress?

But’s that’s just my opinion really. Though some people may like it…you may never know.

lol, there’s quite a bit of people in the Dead Fantasy group that are sharing their status of the game even before this was created. XD

        • http://twitter.com/DanijoEX DanijoEX

Really? I should’ve have known…then again Deviantart has some groups like that…I think. i could be wrong.

  • http://twitter.com/DanijoEX DanijoEX

Boy, things are seriously changing. Since when did they actually considered adding this kind of option to Final Fantasy XIII-2?

  • http://twitter.com/Laith_Rem Laith Rem

This would only annoy people and make them to stop following me on facebook.

Yeah I’m setting this up when I have the game. =3

  • http://nocturneadagio.blogspot.com/ LainaLain

They’re really trying to win people over with this game. I only know one person on Facebook that would actually care about how I’m doing on XIII-2 and they’re not even on there much.

  • Nyron

Stop updating every time this game takes another turd, please

    • aoihana

I don’t see how this is another turd. It’s an optional feature, you’re not forced into it, you know. (◕‿◕✿)

      • http://twitter.com/DanijoEX DanijoEX

I should respect those who would enjoy this kind of feature. Besides, complaining and ranting surely won’t help especially when it’s optional.

Although, i do admit that I really don’t have any desire for it though. But that’s just me.

        • aoihana

Yeah, to be honest, I don’t even have a Facebook, but if I did, I probably wouldn’t use this. In fact, I know I wouldn’t. ┐(‘~`;)┌

But, like you said, let’s respect those that do, especially when it’s optional! (◕‿◕✿)

After looking through your posting history, we’ve decided to ban you. You apparently have nothing productive or nice to say about anyone or anything. Constant complaints are really not appreciated around here.

    • http://twitter.com/DanijoEX DanijoEX

It’s not that bad. Just ignore it and play the game normally. And you shouldn’t have any problems, right?

  • http://twitter.com/Xuiz enorka miho

Seriously people, just play the game and be a little less noisy!!

  • http://twitter.com/Paradox_me Paradox me

Something like this can actually be pretty neat. I don’t use Facebook (nor do I spout hatred for it at every chance I get) but having some sort of community feature set to share things like party setup and other stats sounds cool to me. Perhaps not best implemented by plastering such info on people’s “Wall”, but still.

Personally, I would have liked a feature that allowed you to take screenshots of your monsters and upload them online to share. It’d make showing off my team (Sir Clang the COM, Alfred the MED and McQueen the RAV) much easier.

    Face…what?

    No, thanks.

I avoid these like the plague. It’s incredibly annoying to be clicking through the updates from all your friends and keeping up with what’s going on in their actual real lives, and spend five minutes wading through ‘Blah blah cleared this level with wah’. It’s incredibly intrusive and annoying and I’d be moritifed at the thought that I was irritating somone with all this pointless information.

So although I’m LOVING my FFXIII-2 playthrough, I’m going to pretend this update never happened :D

  • gatotsu911

This makes the critical assumption that you want your friends to know you’re playing Final Fantasy XIII-2.

    • Ryos

Nothing says awesome like letting the world know you’re a complete geek.  Right?  …Right?  But then I’ve seen much sillier things posted on Facebook so if people want to use it, why not?

    • ChaoticTapestry

“Why are you playing FFXII-2?  There are better things to do with your life!  Write that book you always meant to!”
“I CAN’T STOP IT MAN, I HAVE TO DO THIS SO I CAN REVIEW IT ON YOUTUBE.  /sob”

  • kevinposta

Boy now I can show off even more than with trophies!
This is a pretty smart and subtle way to promote the game though. If people you know flood other people with updates then they are bound to ask themselves “hey what’s that game about?” and check it out.
They don’t have to move a finger, you do all the work mateys!

  • http://www.facebook.com/shawn.dickenson1 Shawn SomethingOtaku Dickenson

Eh No one really cares about your
     trophies on facebook

    • Christian Wright

i do. i like that nerd competition.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/kaishou Kaishou

and no one cares about you not caring. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/xxHiryuuxx Hiryuu

Oh yea, we kinda do that already on the PS3 with our trophies to our friends a…

…wait, this IS redundant.  I mean, if nothing else, you could always float around social forums with those banner signatures showing what you’ve done that everyone seems to have.

Oh well, I’m enjoying it right now.  I don’t need others to tell this to since those that were sold with XIII will get XIII-2 and those that weren’t probably won’t.

Cool! I wasn’t able to connect Facebook to my PSN account since it’s a side. So this is really neat :)

  • RupanIII

    so tired of facebook -_-

  • LiamMusume

    No thanks… I hate Facebook

  • Raiu

(sigh)…. Can somebody tell me why developers decided to add something unnecessary like this one? I imagine that they want to research(spying) the players….

  • http://twitter.com/py0npy0njump eiji

Viral marketing for an awful game?

  • PrinceHeir

ehh i don’t really like the whole FB thing(even though i published mine on my account; all it does is show trophies)

i don’t even used it that much. probably only 3 people on it and i don’t go searching everyone on the net so i have little to no reason to use it besides those 3 people.

though it’s optional so it’s all good :P

  • http://bluehighwind.blogspot.com/ BlueHighwind

Hypothetical Facebook Status:  Snow just disappeared.  This game doesn’t seem to understand what a paradox actually is.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1228290322 Elly Honda

how do you make it show your party and everything?

  • http://www.facebook.com/JaeWhy SasuleUchiha

I’ve beaten the game. It’s awesome and addictive. Now, I want Type-0 NA version and new trailer or release date announcement of Versus and maybe XIII-3
