Time To Survive A Devil Survivor 2 Trailer

We’ll have a preview of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 up later today, but in the meantime, here’s a look at the DS game via a new trailer that Atlus USA released this week:

 

 

Devil Survivor 2 is slated for release on February 28th. Look forward to our write-up on the game’s Fate system, which is a bit of a different take on the Persona series’ Social Links.

      the last great PS2 games where Devil Summoner 2(2009) and The King of Fighters 2002UM(which wasn’t release outside of japan sadly) and The King of Fighters 98UM(both KOF titles were release in 2009)

      Atlus still manage to give us another amazing game in well end of the PS2 lifestyle.

      that right there is pure dedication and i salute them and will ALWAYS buy their games for sure.

      can’t wait for Devil Survivor 2!!!!

        You’re forgetting Sakura Wars. How could you forget Sakura Wars?!

        I’ll probably get it. Anyone know if it uses the triggers still? Mine are busted. If it does, I might have to upgrade or grab a used DS.

          though didn’t they stop localizing the other game(sequel i think) because of Sony???

    Devil Survivor 1 might have been my favorite game ever made. The sequel will likely provide the perfect farewell to the Nintendo DS’s era. That said…

    This was the most generic trailer for anything I’ve ever seen. “A hero will rise! Will it be you?”

    Really, now?

    You know, I used to wonder if this would have a pre-order bonus of some kind.  Though you know what?  I never cared whether or not it would have one or not.  I usually think to ask since Atlus usually has them.  And Atlus would have announced one by now if one existed.

    I can’t wait to play this game and rage at the difficulty just like the first one.

      Devil Survivor was pretty easy…

      I’m just going to enjoy it, period.

    Did he just fuse…. Metatron?! I hope he still retains the same elemental resistance like in the first game, he was the only demon who you could make immune/absorb/reflect to everything if I recall.

      I’ve doubts on that, something tells me there were more that could be like that.

        I almost did it with Amaterasu, but she didn’t have an innate immunity to Mystic, so no dice. Here’s what I saw on the wiki: “It should be noted that Metatron is the only character, except Laksmi and Basilisk,
        who repels mystic attacks (all others are either weak, no resistance,
        resistant, or void it). In addition, because of Metatron’s elemental
        resistances, by fusing him with null, repel, or drain elec and force
        (ice in Overclocked), he can become invincible to all except Almighty, a
        feat that no other character in the entire game (excluding Beldr) can
        accomplish.” So there you have it.

          Oh, you meant within Devil Survivor…

          Yeah, okay nevermind what I said then.

          I never really bothered to make my demons immune to everything in Devil Survivor, I was focusing far more upon making them complementary to my human allies moreso then anything.

    After february 28th, an era will end and nothing better than ending it with a game whose initials form the name of that handheld that has make me really happy.

    It began with DS it will end with DS.

    The art is a definite step up in terms of aesthetics when compared to the original. I’m really excited for this game
