By Ishaan . February 6, 2012 . 11:28am

Nintendo of Europe have put up new footage of The Last Story, giving a tour of Lazulis City, the game’s setting, as part of an update on the official website. Before we take a look at that, however, listen to some more of the game’s localized English voice-over in scenes at the tavern:

And now, on to a tour of some of the areas in Lazulis City:

Central Plaza:

Market:

Arganan Bridge:

Artisan’s Way:

Great Hall:

The Last Story is slated for release on February 24th in Europe. In addition to the regular edition, a limited edition of the game comes with an art booklet and soundtrack sampler, all encased in a steel box.

    can I have it now?

    • Gatchaman1

       I’ll think about it…

  • James Beatty

That town looks amazing. Europe, don’t let me down! BUY THE GAME! :P (and Americans, buy Xenoblade)

Don’t mind if I do! I’ll nag all my friends to get a copy of The Last Story :3

  • aoihana

    Strolling through the town…like a boss!( ̄~ ̄ ✿)

I think the English dub is pretty good, honestly. But I think my positive reaction is more or less attributed to the English accents. They are very sexy. (*^ワ^*)

    • Joanna

Yeah, they definitely sound nice. Serene/Seryne/however you spell it sounds exactly like I imaged her to and the blond dude sounds great too. Their conversation sounds natural too~ Great job NoE~ Wish I could pick it up this month but Hakuoki and DeSu2 have me booked.

I’m so going to import this !  English dub actors are spot on it fits the game setting very well

Looking forward to a NA version.

    • CrazyKnives

      Hahaha that’s funny.

  • raitouniverse

It’s refreshing to have a jrpg with none of the same voices we hear nowadays.
They should probably try for this more often with games that are actually going to get localized in America in the future.

Only if the director wants to bring up their A game. Remember Arc Fantasia?

      • takopako

        Wonderful game. TERRRRRRRIBLE voice acting.

        • l777l

          I guess you’re right.

      • Gatchaman1

         Good thing I undubbed that

    • SpecDotSign

Another reason as to why I champion Final Fantasy XII so much. The English dub for that game and the localization team did a phenomenal job. Another standout to me for a great dub cast was Persona 4…well, just Chie and Naoto. =p

  • Shinji Kazuya

Looks damn awsome! Come fast February 24th!

  • Monsley

I’d love to hear characters speaking in different accents in this game! Give me at least one character who speaks in a Mancunian accent and I’ll burst out in a shout of joy!

The accents are certainly a change of pace from most dubbings these days. I’d most likely have no problems with this game’s dub at all.

  • Monkey_T

Looks wonderful for a Wii game.

  • rinalicat

Wait a minute-WE CAN GO TO A PUB?? F*CK YES. (Note: I am very easily please to a fault. For example, my dad banned me from going to the Nopon village in Xenoblade Chronicles because I kept getting lost and then tried to jump from the 5th floor into the conviently placed pond to start over but kept missing. Actual scene “I DON’T WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE! SAVE ME POND! …f***ck!”. That and I love Nopon so I would deliberately get lost just to look for Nopon, which would then repeat that whole unlady-like cycle.)

  • badmoogle

I’m not going to see more videos of the town.I think i’ve spoiled myself too much already.:p
Voice acting sounds good but i hope they also include the Japanese VA just like they did with Xenoblade.

  • MrRobbyM

And not a high-pitched whiny sounding girl in sight! JRPG of the year. Only complaint so far is that the running animation looks very stiff.

Christ, those are some ridiculously hot girls. That said, I love the art style. Dunno if I’ll use the english VA. It’s got nobody I like and I dunno if I wanna listen to the accents the whole time. Might flip a coin or something lol.

  • Jeebs

I like blonde haired guy’s voice. But the red haired chick sounds like such a chav. Can you toggle between the Japanese and English voices?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dsav-Sav/1070454715 Dsav Sav

i think i’d rather listen to jap with subtitles than some of these crappy english accents.

damn you nintendo of america for not undertaking the localizing in the first fucking place.

    • Gatchaman1

Be grateful its coming out stop whining

  • Raiu

Most of the voice acting is good but some is a bit off…
    Though I prefer Japanese VA…

  • PrinceHeir

    amazing O______O

  • Joanna

Watched the first video of the town only. I don’t want to spoil the game for myself and I want to get lost in the town like Sakaguchi hoped players would. :) It’s really too bad I can’t get it this month, but it’s definitely up on my priority list~
